CNN. It's a culture show. Really does it for me.

Used to be a Travel Channel Show. You learn a lot. It's entertaining. Everything is eye candy. The insights are insightful. Great show.

Miami show tonight has been really good.

They replay the last two at 10 and 11 central. It'll be Korea and Miami.

I prefer Arseinclarse's weekend review threads on the F&B Board. Basically the same thing.

I watch him whenever I catch him on TV. He is excellent at what he does. I throughly enjoyed his piece on MS last year.

While I have oft enjoyed his shows, he is insufferable, and television is the only place big enough for his ego.

I haven't met him to tell him yet, but it's the truth.

Let's watch this old dude go around drinking and eating places in third world countries. He isn't like-able and everything feels very staged.

Yes, I have always liked his shows. He is great at telling the story, depicting the true culture of areas he visits, has a good time and seems very genuine. I would love to get hammered with him!

It's funny that you say it all feels very staged, as he's, explicitly, busted out staging in episodes before.

The episode in Sardenia (I think it was), they were supposed to be harvesting fresh seafood from the sea. His guide started throwing frozen seafood into the sea and pretending to "catch" them. Bourdain straight up calls him out on it on camera, then proceeds to get knee knocking drunk and black out for the rest of the evening because he's so depressed by the fakery.

Edit: It was Sicily. For a much better and more hilarious recounting of the episode, read this: LINK

I love most of his shows, but the one on South Korea last week sucked donkey balls.

Just another muppet. Used to be legit, but hasn't been that way in a long time. And yet I'm still jealous.

I love "Parts Unknown". Fantastic television. I love being able to turn it on and learn about some incredibly remote corner of the globe and where the best places are in that spot to eat great food and get plastered.

The directing for Parts Unknown is impressive. It really captures the atmosphere of where he is.

ETA: This is a really strange anchor.
