Wildcat was the first of BD's legged robots. They used a 2-cycle gas engine to power the mechanism.

Obviously, they've come a long way in just a few years.

With Google's acquisition of Boston Dynamics, the new center of robotic advancement is Boston. MIT is also invested heavily into robotics.

Asia may respond but I don't think they have a Google equivalent.

I noticed that, when he was preparing to shove the robot from the front, he looked at its "head" as if assessing it for a possible reaction. Probably an involuntary action on our part to do that.

Interesting they have cat and dog names but move like hoofed animals. Leave it to the gear heads to be clueless about what the biology studs do.
