Best southern rock was recorded in Muscle Shoals. Perhaps some of the best music ever was recorded in Muscle Shoals.

Nope. Capricorn Records was based in Macon but Gregg and Duane grew up in Daytona, and I believe Butch Trucks, Barry Oakley, and Dickey Betts were all part of the NoFL scene. They were in a band called the 31st of February. Duane met Jaimoe while doing session work in Muscle Shoals.

They produced the cleanest sound I've heard.
