Auburn gets bigger acts at fraternity houses than in the bars, usually.
Yea, the fraternities usually pony up for some pretty big names. I saw Luke Bryan (hold your opinions please) at Lambda Chi back in '08. Trotline is a regular at houses and Sky Bar and I like Tim Tyler who played regularly (seemed like every time I would visit).

Yeah, a lot of popular regional stuff, Adam Hood, people like that were mainstays.

gotta give the nod to t-town on the music scene. not familiar with anything UGa culture related but the t-town scene is Dakish. saw Hank III in t-town.

We found the schools whose students signed up for our student deal at the highest rates last semester, because that plan appeals to students who love music.
This list is only based on the students who signed up through the promotion. So 1. you're going to have a lot of students who listen to Spotify who didn't sign up through that promotion and 2. with so many ways to listen to music, it probably doesn't give an accurate representation of what people are really listening to as a whole.

It's treatin me good. Played around for a couple hours last night, trying to learn this elliott smith song, really just trying to get my hand coordination back going from chord to chord. My fingers hurt

Since when is Kings of Leon considered bad music?

I saw Charlie Daniels Band, Hall and Oates, James Taylor, Chicago, The Commodores, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Mothers Finest, Dan Fogelberg, Pat Benatar at B-E in the early 1980s.

Not many great local bands have come out of Ttown., but we will always have the Dexateens.

wow...
I thought being forced to wear orange was bad enough, the music taste blows even more.

Obviously Athens wins here. With all of the bands that originated or became famous.
One of my favorite memories is when REM came back to Athens and gave a free concert on Legion Field.
At least I remember the first part of the concert.

Yeah, I found that to be pretty lame. I can't see how anyone could term them bad, even if you don't care for their style.
Now Nickelback, that's another story.
