So, legal adults need a chaperone?

They have instituted this at one of our local popular malls as well, although I don't know the specifics.

As society continues to erode, this will be a more and more prevalent occurrance.

I think if it keeps the gang activity down, it's a good thing. I have no kids, and don't go to malls anyway, so it has no real bearing on me personally.

How do you enforce it, are there mall cops standing at doors checking ID's?

America. Where at 15 you can drive, but can't go to the mall alone

Believe it or not, you are not a legal adult at 18 in some states. Alabama is one of them.

There is a bill in the legislature this session to make the age 18 but as it stands right now you aren't an adult until the age of 19.

No contracts, vehicle purchases, etc until 19.

Sounds like y'all have never been to Park Plaza mall on a weekend night. This is a solid rule.

You can enlist in the military, go overseas and die... but you can't enter a contract, purchase a vehicle, etc? So backwards.

I'm not quite sure on the enlisting part. The legislator sponsoring the bill says one reason he's doing it is because when he turned 18 he had to wait a year to join the marines because his parents would not sign for him. It may be that they go by state law to determine age of maturity?

DAmn. My first date ever was at park plaza mall I took my gf to see the Truman show at the movie theater there. I was 14. First bj was there i was 17.

Arkansas done went batshit crazy, don't they have a video game store there? They used to have an arcade in the food court. Id.be passed if I had a store front there. If im old enough to work im old enough to spend money myself

There was gang shot on weekends but that was literally anywhere there are teenagers. Football and basketball games.

I would agree if the time was 7 or 8 instead of 5, but I also do feel like they are punishing the good ones, but sometimes it is necessary to keep everyone safe, unfortunately.

Was a big fight at an outlet here, that made managers set up the same curfew. Those thugs are the reason why a mall is currently being demolished.

This is what happens when parents don't parent at home.
