The PR threads and team preview threads usually end up just being a back and forth circle jerk for the posters that contributed to them.

That is true.... the SECr rankings last year ended up being the same thing... Posters coming in to bash the poll so the ones that created it defending it. Made it easy to identify who contributed and who did not.

They are a somewhat accurate reflection of the biased views of the rant. In a way they are better because the number of votes per fanbase is equalized.
As for the rest nobody has to read it, but yeah I can get better information in about 3 mins of internet searching than I can from the previews

I know Semo and Nino are trying to make those threads matter by adding more and more information. But as the poster above said, we can find more information by spending a couple of minutes on the internet. The threads end up becoming a circle jerk anyway

No one is stopping you from doing that. And no one is making you read a season preview.
In all seriousness, you may be suffering from mild depression. When you can't find joy in things that used to make you happy, that's a telltale symptom.

What exactly do you expect from previews written by fans? Especially when fall practice I don't believe had started for some by the time the early previews were turned in to be posted.
I'm seeing a lot of criticism, but not seeing what exactly people are expecting.
ETA: Also you complain about Semo and Nino making it take more time to compile a preview, but then some of you are also complaining that you could find the info anywhere on the internet. What gives there too?

Yes, I'm on the committee. I contributed a little bit to the Arkansas preview, but another one of our posters did most of the work.
This whole thread just wreaks of little bitch though. It's like people who complain on the internet about TV shows they don't like. If you don't like something, you're free to not expose yourself to it.
That's why I think tdeucen is suffering from depression. He sees people enjoying themselves doing something that used to make him happy, but he no longer finds joy in it. Some therapy would probably help.

I'm not expecting anything, I haven't opened or read them honestly.... They just seem pointless to do and a space filler for the SECr. Are they better than some of the other threads here? Yeah probably but they've morphed what was supposed to be a fun poll of a select group of individuals into a chore.
