I don't mind corporations putting stock in making the earth a better place and do applaud them for it.

I do mind when the government forces regulations based on unproven science on the general populace.

Didn't we bail out Goldman Sachs a few years ago? Weren't they completely broke?

Now they have billions to give away?

This stinks to high Heaven.

I get it with Apple, MSFT, and GOOG, they are in the middle of migrating all of their data centers into cloud infrastructure, which costs alot of money, but has one advantage of using less resources.... so I get that they are turning a business decision into a PR campaign. Good for them.

But Goldman Sachs?

High Heaven smells this shite. Extortion maybe?

So you need more evidence to believe in climate change?

Goldman did get TARP money... they also repaid it in less than a year. In fact, "taxpayers" (ie, the government) made about $1.4 billion on the deal.

You know that's probably not his stance, nor did he state it was. Global warming can't be denied, geology proves that much, but humanities' impact on it can be argued, depending on the source that deciphers the data points.

Goldman actually tried to turn down tarp money.

The deniers on this topic are also the type that believe in conspiracies, ufo, and the general drivel of the uneducated or disenfranchised.

What do you classify as a "denier"? Someone that questions man's impact on global climate, or those that deny global warming exists?

I think your inability to converse or make a point without trying to appear like an elitist douche is the main reason behind why most "uneducated underclass" individuals don't pay more attention and become combative.

ETA: Nice edit, should have copied and pasted.

I don't care. Arguing with people who will deny overwhelming evidence is a pointless endeavour that wastes my time.

I prefer to just call theme stupid and move along these days.

Overwhelming evidence for what? What is your stance? Please do inform me, as I don't know whom you're referring to as a denier.

Science doesn't have a political side. Go to any natural history museum they have entire exhibits and lectures by the climatologists on this stuff. I attended some in London. It's happening. Pretty soon the deniers will go from "it's a bullshite scam" to "well it's too far gone what can we do now?". Change now.

You are correct about true science. The problem is at this point in time, there is no science involved with climate studies. You can't test a hypothesis. You can't apply the scientific method. Since it isn't science, it has become nothing but political. When the government won't fund any study looking to be objective, only studies look to confirm man made global warming, you can't deny the lack of science.
