The older I get the more I like people.

Or maybe I should say the older I get the more I understand people's perspectives and can appreciate where they are coming from.

Yes, & if it's a reoccurring issue, not just the "blahs," medication helps. I suggest talking to your doctor about it if you can't shake it or if it keeps coming back. No reason to go through life feeling shitty, battling a chronic physiological issue (if that's the case), when there are good meds that can be prescribed to help. A really good clinical psychologist helps as well. Someone who's trained in this & isn't a relative or friend is great to talk with.

I don't mind peoples opinions and please feel free say what you think. That being said I've started choosing who I hangout with a lot more selectively. If I don't like someone I'll completely cut them out of my life or I will let it be known I'm not a fan and would prefer not to be around them. It's helped me cut dead weight out of my life and I've felt better

Well that's generally forced upon you anyway as you live your life and move for jobs/cities/spouses and such.

Yep. I've taken a year off of work twice to "recharge" the batteries.

Just the opposite. I've mellowed with age and don't let little things bother me, and can understand peoples failures and shortcomings a lot better.

not talking physically. Just mentally...life in general

Lately ... every fricking day.

I think I need to quit trying to fill my time with input every open second ... like every time I have a spare moment I'll hit this board or watch the news or pick-up a magazine or listen to the radio.

Instead, I may just start unplugging and decompressing more often.

I've been there, Alahunter. It doesn't have to be permanent. Talk to people about things, and definitely get some good exercise going. That can help a lot.

I think everyone does. It should cause concern if it lingers for an extended time or starts to impact your professional or personal life.

"'ll honestly just sit in my apt Friday/Saturday and play video games "
---------
Video games -- definite red flag -- throw that shite away.

But never forget:

oh she may be weary
them young girls they do get wearied
wearing that same old miniskirt dress
but when she gets weary
you try a little tenderness

It's a playground for fools, per par.

Yes, I realize I played a part in it, but I'm done for now

All of the coaching changes seems to have activated a fricktard gene in them.

Yep. The mods will have a field day issuing bans for all of the slights imparted upon LSU.
