And I left out a very good half sentence. I fixed it. Have fun at work

In my 20's C. S. Lewis and G. K. Chesterton were among my favorites.

Haven't read it, but read Mere Christianity. I felt he made the shallowest and weakest arguments for reconciling his apologist desires. Very, very, very self serving, and very bad arguments, IMO. The premise of this seems at least a little bit more creative. Next time I go through a religious wave of reading I'm sure I'll add it.

I haven't read that one yet. Not sure if I will or not. The premise of this one is pretty good and seems to have good insight to some aspects of the human condition

Lots of people seem to like it, but it's very generic and ambiguous rhetoric, imo. His logical fallacies were incredibly bothersome. Screwtape does seem to have an intriguing premise. I'll give it a read eventually. Or just put the play on YouTube.

Now I have to read it to see the logical fallacies and generic, ambiguous rhetoric.

I just saw a play adaptation a few weeks ago. It was great.

I went to a Christian school and we didn't even read it

How did they work it out? Like the one I've already described?

I didn't

One setting, 2 characters. It was a monologue by Screwtape, and he had a demon assistant that basically acted like Gollum. She was hilarious.
Screwtape would narrate letters while his assistant wrote them, then she'd climb a ladder and put them in the "mailbox".
I'm sure it sounds kinda lame, but it was a great performance. I'll try and find out who put the production on.

Excellent book.
Also recommend The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis.
Eta: Good luck with the play, sounds like you have a great idea.
