Is the clown epidemic just a bunch of homeless wayward juggalos in the woods? This is the only reason I can think of as to why this is happening.

Ok, there may be a clown out there. But this story seems to be one of those that urban legends are made of.
Some kid thinks he/she saw a clown following them, tells parents, one of/ both parents have coulrophobia, because being afraid of clowns is a trendy fear to have, believe the story without question, tell other parents..........
Kids hear about the clown from their parents, start talking to each other about the clown, suddenly everyone has seen the clown.
When a clown is captured, I'll believe this story. But I've seen this before in other cities, it's been bullshite every time.

No, there are definitely people dressing up as clowns standing on the side of roads and stuff. Are they actually trying to lure children? Who knows.

I've seen various pictures from folks in rural Kentucky and South Carolina.
I think it's just a lame, weird copycat thing, but somebody is gonna have the wrong dude drive by and have his head removed from his body.

I don't know if one's been arrested following kids and they're probably inspired by the social media craze, but there are clown nuts IRL.
This one was chasing women in the Knoxville, TN area.
This one was chasing cars in rural west Alabama. Unfortunately, he didn't catch one.
This one was doing something the story doesn't specify but it got him arrested in Virginia.

No, the South Carolina clowns were near Greenville, SC. I know because my brother and his wife just built a new home outside Spartanburg. They have a little acreage that borders woods. The Greenville/Spartanburg news was warning folks to clowns attempting to lure small children into the woods with candy and/or laser pointers.

Heard about a face book post from "Chattanooga Clown" in the area this morning naming individual schools,and from what I recall childrens names that he was going to target for death at thier bus stops...This shits getting way out of hand

That's the thing tho, I'm not afraid of clowns. I guess that makes me contrarian, but if I see a clown where there shouldn't be a clown, I'm staying away from that clown.
