Pretty simple solution. If people don't want a certain poster/group of posters nominated then nominate someone else.
The whole "non-IMers" crowd gives the "IMers" way too much power by bitching, then taking their ball and going home over these things.

I'll disagree on Clique, last time this was on board 95% of people that voted were habitual IM'ers and same went for winners.

When they fail to realize if they get more people involved, they'd outnumber the IMers and could keep them from winning.

Bingo.
And that's probably exactly what will happen once they figure it out. But of course, that doesn't make them much better then the IMers (not really anyone I see in here regularly at this point IMO) who will only vote IMers. Nobody wants to mention that.
