Did you watch the CMA's or whatever they were the other night?

Country is really going downhill.

Yes

I love Jimmy Needham's older stuff. His collabs with Trip Lee are nice

My and my wife's first concert we attended together was a Needham concert (his wife is an Aggie) back in college station. Dude is amazing.

I saw him in concert for free at a Baptist church in my hometown. It was awesome with such a small setting. He even did Trip Lee's part

I also went on a weekend trip to Gatlinburg with a youth group to see Lecrae, and saw Tobymac and Skillet at a Will Graham Celebration.

We somehow got there before they locked the doors, so we got to sit inside and watch them rehearse. It was awesome

I was really hoping to have movedbefore now so I could take the wife to Winter Jam. Maybe next year.

Also really hoping to see the Newsboys in conconcert again soon. Haven't seen them since before Michael Tait took over.

This song makes me think of this classic from the album "Franklin Comes Alive"

Went to Winter Jam while they headlined

I've actually seen most of the big Christian artists in concert at least once I think.

Lecrae, Third Day, Newsboys, Tobymac, Skillet, Jimmy Needham, David Crowder Band, Red, amongst other Winter Jam artists.

Never seen Casting Crowns though, I love their stuff

CC is awesome

Was actually living in Waco when David Crowder took off. Good times. Still have most of his stuff.

I don't listen to too much Crowder, but he got it up in concert.

Tenth Avenue North is pretty good too, they were at WJ one year. I didn't get to see Group 1 Crew though

Saw in Gatlinburg with Lecrae

Last concert I went to was Third Day Tornado Relief benefit. There were some other random artists there as well. The cause made it really worth it.

I wouldn't say that. There are some shitty artist out there but there are still plenty of great artists putting out some top notch country and putting their own touch to it.

And George strait is still the best out there.

I agree. The awards show just may have introduced a disturbing trend. The female artists were basically screaming

With as much touch up work that is done by computer in the studio now (all music, not just country), when performing live they probably have to scream so no one notices how bad their singing voice really is.

That's true, but these songs were even written to be screamed I just don't care for it at all

Live performances allow the artist to be a little different with their songs. She was playing to the lyrics of the song.

True.

I'm out. Gotta go to Music Appreciation.

Seriously, who appreciates music?
