Probably when I had gastritis in '93 or pneumonia in '95. Both put me in the hospital for a few days.

Most pain was kidney stone I had 2 years ago.

My appendix burst when I was 10. Not sure I could imagine a worse pain than that.

Middle school I was having chest pains and increased heart rate. Had to go to the emergency room. Ended up seeing a random doctor and he admitted me for heart monitoring. Was there for a few days until my normal doctor got to see me. Ended up have bad pneumonia and somehow the original doctors had totally missed it. Was away from school for almost 2 weeks

Spent the night in the hospital once with pneumonia. It was more a precaution as I had had it for 3 or 4 days before going to the doctor because I thought it was just the flu since my wife had just gotten over the flu a week prior.

But I never really felt that bad with it, even though my fever spiked to 103 a couple of times and it took over a month for the symptoms to clear. Worst I've ever felt was when I had the flu in high school. Missed a week of school, and seriously contemplated suicide a few times that week. Lost about 20 pounds. Just awful. Only time I've ever had the flu.

Worked in Mexico (Mexicali) for a few months. Setting up a new plant. Caught some kind of Mexican virus. Flew home immediately.

Had a fever of 100-103 for a full month before they every pinpointed what virus I had and which antibiotic to give me. It was the worse thing I have ever experienced.

Bronchitis
food poisoning for about 24 hrs
skin cancer

been pretty fortunate overall with no real major sicknesses and only the broken ankle.. otherwise.. just the common flu/cold and sprains.

one time my wife and i either got food poisoning or a 24 hour bug at the exact same time.

we both just puked and diarrhea'd all day. we crawled from the living room to watch a boy meets world marathon to separate bathrooms for 17 hours without talking to each other.

at one time i woke up laying next to the toilet with throwup and poop in the toilet. apparently i was out for about an hour.

Had pneumonia a few years ago. Ended up in the hospital for 3 days. Prior to going to the hospital I was running an extremely high fever that would spike to around 106. I had to jump into a tub of cold water to get it down,

It sucked.

Me too. Honestly, I don't think I had the energy to do it. I remember at one point having to stop and lean against the wall to rest while walking to the bathroom.

I've heard it is bad this year. I always get a flu shot because Jenny McCarthy has no hold over me.

I've had the flu just once. That was the only time I've ever wanted to die to end the misery.

I've gotten a flu shot ever since. Never got it again.

My top 3:

1) Acute colitis: Every you eat feels like razor blades passing through. Lost about 50 lbs and was super weak. Legitimately thought I was going to die.

2) Ruptured ovarian cyst: That shite will bring you to your knees in a heartbeat.

3) The flu: I think what surprised me is how quick it hit. The night before I felt icky but nothing unusual working with kids. Next morning it was everything I could do to get out of bed.

Flu is no fun but the worst for me was a case of food poisoning. I'm glad I don't keep a gun in the bathroom, I might have used it on myself.

Montezuma's revenge from a trip in Costa Rica. Didn't hit me until right as the connecting flight was leaving DFW. It was a long, long night

(Reading this over again, this is going to sound like a joke; it's not in any way) Worst pain was an "orgasm headache". It lasted about 10 seconds but felt like an hour.

Imagine your brain being exposed then pouring everclear on it and then setting it on fire. And you're feeling throbbing at the same time. All you can do is bang your head against whatever you're leaning on. I thought it was an aneurism and I was going to be dead in the morning, but I was fine. This happened to me twice.

I later learned it was due to overproduction of adrenaline, which is due to a condition I have and treated for (beta blockers). I never told a doctor (I was 16 and really didn't feel like explaining it... terrible idea at the time) about it but began treatment for the condition and never had another occurrence of the orgasm headache.
