Cruz is too polarized after the shutdown. I suspect he'll have his time. I just don't think it's now for him. Rand Paul opens up many avenues the GOP haven't been reaching decent shares of nationally. Can't poison the well with Cruz.

The TP will come with Paul anyway. I figure Paul taps Rubio to solid Flordia where his foreign policy may lose him votes and of course to get a brown guy on the ticket.

It will beat Hillary at least. Going to be fun watching her be forced to defend her left and right flanks.

i really hate the way the base flipped on Rubio for having a different opinion on one issue that he has personal experience in. He's a great statesman.

to be fair, Obama didn't until his 2012 campaign and hasn't done a thing reflecting that since.

True, but it won't matter. Fence sitters are going to hone in on that kind of stuff because you know that's what the dems will be screaming.

I know what you mean. The base has too much angry mob about it currently. It's part of why the moderates aren't interested. Take myself as an example. I'm more liberal than you certainly, but the do gooder Dems are worthless as lawmakers. I don't want them involved in running anything, but I also have to pump the breaks at electing someone beholden to the angry conservative mob.

Yes though, Rubio would be a quality VP pick that would do much to strengthen a Paul ticket.

That's what's frustrating. There is SO much value in the plant itself (besides and medicinal or recreational value).
Makes better quality paper out of a yearly renewable source (save the trees!)
Makes great rope.
Hemp oil is a valuable product.
And the list goes on and on...

As a Floridian who wrote in Ron Paul last 2 elections I couldn't vote for rubio on any ticket. I left his senate seat unvoted on because how much he, charlie crist, and kendrick meeks sucked. His only attraction is his skin color, essentially making him as qualified as obama. They're both failed lawyers too, who've never really held a real job.
