It's not a physiologically addictive drug. I've argued this over and over with people who cite the Diagnostics and Statistics Manual used by psychologists desiring to make a buck off chumps with their unnecessary BS therapy.

I smoke everyday. It has taken the place of 4 prescription pills for me. Mainly cause now I don't remember to take them.

Seriously, started smoking as an adult and it's the best self-evaluating/introspective aid I've ever had. I wouldn't trade it for the world. Scared to think of if I were still the person I was before. Oblivious to myself.

I've never heard the myth that weed can defuse your sex. It makes you just wanna chill, but if anything, it makes you want sex more and makes it even better.

At least that's what I've experienced.

The DEA is going to decide this summer on rescheduling marijuana. Regardless of how one feels about legalization, we should all agree that it needs to be rescheduled down from Schedule 1.

I'll never support legalization, but you're spot on. Classifying it alongside heroin and LSD just doesn't make any sense.

If used appropriately, cannabis can really get the creative juices flowing.

And if used inappropriately, well, still it just gets the creative juices flowing. I'm not sure what anybody would have against it. What can weed do that's bad?

If I use it too much in one sitting it just makes me sort of blah.

But to answer your question, I've no idea. Especially repubs. One would think they'd want the givernment to stay out of their business. (kinda like guns)

I think Colorado shot a hole in whatever the DEA wants to do with pot. They proved weed is a tax revenue gold mine and the next decade we will see a real gold rush as states take advantage of that no matter what the Feds say.

Physiologically, maybe not, but I knew two people who were addicted to it.

People are "addicted" to the things they like. I know people way more addicted to fishing and hunting than I've ever known addicted to weed. People are "addicted" because weed is awesome and why not do awesome things?

Nope. I don't agree with the non-medicinal use of any mind-altering drug. Alcohol is particularly bad given the role it plays in motor vehicle accidents, domestic violence incidents, and all manner of poor decision making brought about by an impaired thought process.

I'm not going to melt if this country legalizes pot, but it is bad public policy, there will be negative societal consequences, and I'm not going to partake.

So you're against caffeine too? Those crazy druggies drinking coffee in the morning before work to try to artificially wake up and perk themselves up through the day.

You know, it really isn't their fault. They all came of age under this guy:

Just like the kids of the 1960s, they're going to have to live a while to figure out how the real world works.

How does the real world work? Cause it looks a lot like you need to inform the other millions of people just as old as you who are going to make weed legal everywhere in the country the next 15 years.

Maybe you're alone in your opinions? Ever thought you might be wrong about weed instead of everybody else?

Well right now it's illegal in most states so you shouldn't use it illegally. If it is legal where you are you should use it in moderation like every other drug. I've seen its abuse ruin lives just like I've seen alcohol and cocaine ruin lives.

Moderation and responsible legal use.

I've seen people enough people flunk out of college and be total burnouts to believe that daily marijuana use can lead people down a pretty miserable path. I fully support legalization, but I think marijuana abuse is a real thing and it doesn't get discussed enough.
