Who else is watching this? I was only 3 years old when Elway was drafted, so I don't know much about Elway being drafted. He pretty much did the same thing as Eli, but he had the baseball aspect to make it not as bad? I'm asking because I don't know how the public viewed it at the time.

ETA: Wrong board, and I requested it be moved.

John Elway was a boss and still is.

Elway was FAF with a huge pinch in during an interview with the Yankees.

I'm really enjoying this one. Not as deep of a topic as some others, but the insight, like with their Agent's Diary, and the people they got to interview is all really well done.

I guess it could stay on this board since I was using it to compare to Eli, but I guess that's up to the admin.

I don't get why they didn't take Marino since they loved him as a prospect too, if they knew Elway didn't want to play in Baltimore

How long did the league that Marino was drafted in last? Did they just merge with the NFL?

I started a thread on the MSB board just to ask someone to give me details regarding the relationship between Walsh & Montana

He was drafted but never played. Signed with the Dolphins instead..

But I believe it lasted like 5 years or something

Chris Berman back then compared to now, what a difference in personality!

Marino and Elway are polar opposites.

Wow the same guy who drafted Elway when he didn't want to join the Colts, was the same guy who ended up getting Eli when he didn't want to go to the Chargers. Funny how things like that work out
