My freshman year, I attended a small private college that had a special admissions program for "back to school" or late in life students. Generally, the older they were, the more vocal and time consuming they were.

You could always spot the older housewife who had no problem talking any time something popped into her mind.

Yep, they live to find any opportunity to talk about their shitty kids, too. They just don't understand that no one fricking cares about terrible children, or that you spent 20 years as a waitress after you got knocked up in high school.

Nice. Meteorology was my first pick, but my wife didn't want to move out of state for me to pursue it. The only in-state school that has a meteorology program is South Alabama. OU would have been my obvious choice for grad school.

Should be brought to the Dean of department's attention. With today's cost of higher education you are getting robbed - or your parents are.

^ THIS. I'd be pissed.

What school are you attending?

Speak to a dean. One missed class is a great excuse to start the wknd early. Two weeks of classes w/ zero contact means you're getting fleeced.

Just do the work on the syllabus. In the time it took to bitch about it on this thread you probably could have read two paragraphs.

Speaking of reading, if you had read the OP you would know she hasn't given anyone a syllabus.
