You're not very bright are you?

So you think that only the person who commits the actual act is culpable in a crime? No one should ever be convicted of conspiracy or accessory? So mob bosses who order hits should never be tried because well...they didn't do the actual act. No wife who convinces her lover to kill her husband should be tried.

You are acting like she sent one text saying kill yourself and now they are trying to convict her. She has over a long period of time manipulated this kid in person, through text and on the phone convincing him he needed to kill himself. Yes he was weak as most people who take their own lives are, but she coerced him and encouraged him to do it. She was on the phone with him while he was dying and when he backed out, she talked him back into the truck. She did not try to stop him or get him help, she even convinced him not to talk to his family. You are ignorant if you think she is not complicate if not culpable in this kids death. She manipulated him and warped his mind. She is no different than Charles Manson who convinced his followers to commit murder or Jim Jones convincing his to kill themselves. The only reason the text messages are even important is that they are a stored record of her deeds. they are not the only means she used, but they are the only ones recorded for evidence. She is a monster who should rot in prison.

I just want to KNOW that one can't commit homicide via text message. Social media is already too damned influencial. We're getting weaker every minute.

If I can have a charge added to my jacket for texting about a dope deal the this bitch can be held libel for her text messages as well, you see a text conversation is the same as a phone call or face to face conversation.

It seems pretty clear he had issues, but it is also pretty clear she had a hand in it.

Isn't suicide against the law but it does not get prosecuted because the person is dead? If this is the case, seems her influence was great enough to indicate she was deep into aiding the cause. In that case seems she could be prosecuted and pretty harshly as she knew he was in the act but failed to notify law enforcement. Instead she hid the fact, and I would go the other way to say she encouraged it.

The kid may not have been suicidal in the normal sense, but deluded in the sense she would "rescue" him in the end because of her love for him, which in this case he was an idiot.

I have known several women who "attempted" with no intent of following through just because they wanted the "rescue" and not their death. This kid may have been similarly deluded but we will never know now.

Couldn't agree more.

Major signs that the defendant here shows Munchausen by proxy too.

The girl is sick. Her sickness and evil acts are in some part; I think in large part, responsible for this poor young man's death. Whether she is just deluded about the seriousness of her actions for some reason, or sociopathic, we really don't know. And I don't care. She should rot.

Poor boy. With a friend/ girlfriend like her, he never had a chance. Seems like no one else had enough influence.

Does that go beyond 3rd party or paid family care?

I can see a nurse or family member via actual pay or love and affection but does it apply in this case? While she clearly was not a caregiver, from the article it seems there was no implication of such either?

It's a weird variation. She was really gung go on getting as much sympathy and attention as possible after he died. It's in the article how she was dead set on taking credit for a memorial and whatnot.
