Did anyone else feel you were watching shades of the Greatest Show On Turf from the going for the throat / pushing the ball down the field pass play selections to the dialing up of 10+ running plays in a row? It was vintage Mike Martz to my eyes.

I didn't think about it at the time, but now that you say it... you're right.

Lock will continue to mature. He's made leaps and bounds since last year. Heupel has obviously been great for him.

There were 2 open receivers short on that last interception. I do t think it was a bad play call. Just bad execution, and a great play by the safety

Didn't seem them either. But I guess you could say Lock didn't go through his check downs then. I'm sure every interception will be covered in film study. I'm confident Lock will make the proper adjustments. I think it was a humbling experience for him. He just got greedy.

That was a hell of a play by the safety.

Blanton was behind his man with no safety because the safety broke on Moore. Johnson or Wingo broke the SS ankles and had no one with 10 yds of him. This was obscured by the score placard on TV but he was all alone.

I said this in another thread but it was a solid call and poor read.

Is it possible that the staff had set goals for the things the team was to accomplish in this game, and the team vastly surpassed those expectations and maybe the staff was a bit under prepared for the 4th quarter.

I mean it was only a few days ago that Cross said they didn't deserve to rush the QB because of the run defense. Then they come out and execute like it was never an issue. Maybe they just never game planned to stomp UGA,maybe the goal was a respectable game and showing signs of progress.

Lock was 4-10 with 2 INTs in the second half when they rattled off all of the running plays in a row. I don't really have an issue with how they called that series of plays.

The young QB made a young QB mistake when the call took advantage of what UGA was doing schematically. He had wide open guys and he never looked at them.

Missouri is not a ranked team but it is a dangerous one. They are improving and this team will get their share of wins going forward.

I would like to see Nate Strong on the field but maybe he is not as complete a player as he needs to be yet. Running, catching, and blocking are all important. That will come with time.

my thought is Odom and Heupel didn't feel comfortable with McCann in a high pressure situation yet. Of course it was adding to the lead, but he's still a head case until he calms down.
