Positives

- I could list a ton, but I'll start with the OL. They gave Lock forever back there. Our 2015 line never looked as good all season and to think they threw it together in a shite show off-season. Major props.
- Guys like Navynuke knew it, but now the casuals can see the end game with the defensive scheme. There's still a lot of work to do on the defensive backfield, but the finished product could be special.
- Tucker McCann. It looks like they've got his mechanics cleaned up. And he's an automatic touchback.

Negatives

- Ball security. Maturity will break Lock from thinking he can make every throw into double coverage.

Crockett and Johnson have a lot of work to do on ball security.

Agreed. Thankfully they're young and the upside is through the roof.

Our friend J'Mon Moore on the other hand...

It was good to see the DL finally make some negative plays, but it was pretty much all on Harris. Still way too long to throw the ball in the first half and the coverage soft. Gibson is just awful. Time to try someone else.

I REALLY dislike the defensive call on that last play. 16 was their only threat. Should have played bracket coverage on him and rushed 4. We had a timeout to get our defense set and we come up with single coverage on him. That's really bad.

OL looks great in pass pro, but we still can't run the ball for shite.

I think this team has some upside, but we still have a ton of issues and the most frustrating part is that most of them are self inflicted.

Tough road just to get to 6 wins now. It's disappointing. We could be better.

Cam Helton needs more reps. When they used him to bracket Makenize he got the pick. He should have been back there coving with Penton

Only question I have is if Gibson's nickname is "toast" or "Mr.PI"

If I'm an OC facing Mizzou I want as many deep balls thrown at him as possible. Gibson had 1 PI, should have been 2. Was also best a couple other times that's Eason just missed. I would really like to see Acy get a shot there. He's been impressive the little he's played.

Somebody. Anybody else. He's horrid.

You're right. I'd throw deep ball after deep ball to Gibsons side.

Negatives:

1. Turnovers. Killed us.
2. Offense did not mix the run and pass well.
3. Offense went into a shell in the 4th quarter.
4. One drive in particular, a 12 or 13 straight run drive. While it was fun to watch, they became too one dimensional and should have went over the top.
5. Too many mental mistakes on the team and coaching staff.

Positives:

1. Scored over 20 on a good defense.
2. Mizzou's defense improved.
3. OL looked real good.
4. For the most part I think everyone stayed pretty healthy.
5. Defense bottled up a damn good rushing attack.

It was a good test. One Mizzou should have won. I think they improve every week. Next week is a noncon game and then onto LSU. That will be a huge.

Positives- The front 7 clamped down on UGA's rushing attack. They had issues on sweep and cutback contain, Charles Harris in particular, but overall, that is what the front was supposed to do.

The WRs/TEs matched up well with a very athletic secondary. Lock threw some bad balls at Moore and had secondary receivers coming open. The last INT in the end zone should have been a TD to Blanton who was behind his defender. Ball security is paramount but there are plenty of things to build on.

The OLine has been outstanding in Passpro. The run blocking wasn't as bad it might seem. Witter lacks the acceleration and pop to hit a crease and go. The creases were there last night but the guys that can make the most of them weren't on the field.

Negatives:

Running Back Rotation: There are guys capable of running through some contact and getting an extra two yds on carries where Witter get 3. Getting the offense into 2nd and 3rd and 5 or less would allow for using Witter and the TEs more effectively. It is on those players to earn those reps so they are going to have to force the staffs hand with their practice and play when they get on the field.

3rd down defense: I watched the left side of the defense on 3rd and long. UGA focused their personnel squarely on Harris and the other end of the defense did nothing. Going to have to find someone that can take the RT on the snap because Jordan Harold and Spencer Williams don't have that kind of burst. I hoped that the loss of Brady could be mitigated but so far, that hasn't been the case.

Wilson and Gibson are liabilities in coverage.

Problem is on the last play of that drive Lock threw an interception. Without that, maybe McCann seals the game with a FG.

Yepp. Had to get the game to a 2 score game.

Not so much a negative but a concern to keep an eye on. Johnson can absolutely be electric but even his return that he took for a TD in the other game came after he muffed the catch. More nervous moments last night. Think he had negative yards on punt returns.

Positive: Fatoney averaged about 50 yards per punt.

Searching for negatives but on the defensive side, at least in the first half, we allowed way too many conversions on 3rd and long.

More positives...McCann has hopefully gotten over what I can hope were just jitters. Hit his XP's and a 33 yd and 45 yd FG.

Yeh, that was a low percentage play. Wasn't executed very well either. I think they should have tried something over the top sooner in the drive.

There were 2 open receivers short on that last interception. I do t think it was a bad play call. Just bad execution, and a great play by the safety

Is it possible that our back up qb is our best running back?

Agree with all your points, especially on the last INT. Short receivers were available on maybe all three picks, but Lock kept bypassing them looking for home runs when clean singles were all that was needed.

Did anyone else feel you were watching shades of the Greatest Show On Turf from the going for the throat / pushing the ball down the field pass play selections to the dialing up of 10+ running plays in a row? It was vintage Mike Martz to my eyes.
