I already listed this in another thread. So why the hell not make it into a thread?

- Blake Anderson, HC, Arkansas State

- Scott Saterfeld, HC, Appalachian State

- Doug Nussmeier, OC, Florida

- Rod Carey, HC Northern Illinois

- Greg Schiano, DC, Ohio State

- Matt Canada, OC, Pittsburgh

Here are some potential DC's who could replace Cross:

- Craig Kuligowski, DL, Miami

- Torrian Gray, DB, Florida

- Angus McClure, DL, UCLA

- Randy Bates, LB, Northwestern

- Anthony Poindexter, co-DC, UConn

I think while none of these candidates really jump off the board as elites, they are right about in our range if we plan on hiring a coach. It's easy to be delusional and think that Mizzou will get Les Miles or Lane Kiffin next season like a lot of other fans are, but it's not gonna happen.

So would you be happy with any of these guys coaching us next season?

Todd Orlando at Houston may shake loose if Hermann leaves. Or if he stays we could offer him a nice pay raise.

Tony Pecoraro at Souther Miss is a guy with an extensive background and a lot of success.

Someone in this mold.

Saterfield is ready, but he is App State alum. It will be interesting to see what Stark does. Will he let the 2 premier sports go to hell? Giving BO another year sets the program back 2. Its not just the losses, its the fractured team and poor recruiting.

Schiano started his HC career with 2-9, 1-11...was given the time and eventually did pretty well at Rutgers.

He had nothing at Rutgers, it was a GP build.

And he did it way quicker.

Former NFL coach. Came back to the ranks for a reset, settled in behind a great coach.

Sounds perfect for this situation.

I believe the powers that be are obsessed with losing a coach that's not a "True Son" if he's successful.

frick that hire an actual coach, in either of the money making sports. See what happens.

If he leaves, fine, hire another good coach.

This bullshite has got to end.

I'd rather not set myself up for disappointment because it's not going to happen.

If we are not significantly better next year then it becomes a real possibility

An AD that let's football and bball go to hell should not have the job, especially at a SEC school. BO was not coming in to do a rebuild. He tore it down and now it needs to be rebuilt. Plus what about the 2018 instate talent, do we really want to watch us lose commit after commit?

He wasn't brought in for a rebuild? The team was 5-7 and featured one of the worst offenses in the entire country.

It's gone about as shitty as possible, sure, but he definitely didn't get a ready made team by any stretch. I'm not sure GP would be doing much better with this squad. Maybe a game or 2, who knows.

The facts are. We are where we are and BO will come through clean on the other side, or he won't. The best thing for Mizzou is for him to be able to get this thing right and start winning. If he can't, we'll try to find someone who can.

OK, I reread my post, I never said the team was ready made. He wasn't brought in for a rebuild, he was brought in because Pinkel retired. There was supposed to be continuity.

But truthfully its not his fault. If Pinkel doesn't get cancer, BO is at Memphis getting experience as a HC.

Honestly, I'm tired of the "It's no BOs fault, blame GP/It's BOs fault" narrative.

This shite is fricked up and needs to be fixed. I don't care if a Reptilian Bush/Clinton hybrid child is to blame.

frick assigning blame.

Just fix it.

I agree.

BO will get his chance to fix it. I have serious doubts, but hope he proves me wrong.

No one is saying that BO doesn't share some of the blame. But he inherited a team with very few junior/senior talent. Which was the GP recipe for success. Mizzou basically whiffed on 2 straight recruiting classes.
Look at the offense in those classes Moore, Culkin, Reese, Witter & Abeln. None of those guys are game changers.
Defense isn't much better.
Mizzou doesn't usually recruit the type of freshmen that can come in and play really good right away.

What has he done the first 8 games, that shows he can fix anything?

To this point, absolutely nothing

This team has regressed all season.

BO looks like KA to this point.......... No clue, with a touch of deer in the headlights.

"I like where we are"

I mean WTF
