Tulsa is in final negotiations to hire Missouri's Frank Haith, barring a last-minute collapse in talks, a source told ESPN.

I'm not buying it until I see a new coach at the podium.

I take it the majority of y'all are happy about this news?
ETA: We have a coach y'all are free to steal.

I don't know if I'd say happy. I wouldn't be surprised if we lose 1 or both of our recruits if Haith goes. If so we will absolutely suck for the next 3 or 4 years. The timing of it is just horrible. Is it worth biting the bullet on? Probably. But there's gonna be some pissed off Mizzou fans for years to come because some will hate the new coach regardless of who it is.

Yeah its done. You folks got what you wanted. Too bad nobody has a plan for what now. Well aside from the inevitable massive recruit exodus and transfers by JW3, Gant et al, followed by new coach having bad first year cuz roster is gutted and no time to recruit his own guys, followed by fickle fanbase immediately disliking him saying he was overhyped and giving him only Year 2 to right the ship before wanting him gone too, which unless he's Superman will be unlikely since that will at best be his first year with a somewhat stable roster.
We're turning the hoops program into 1980s Mizzou football here. Hire coach, suck, find new coach, rinse, repeat. Not good.

Im not a Haith fan but it would have been good to give him some more time as a fan base to right the ship. I do, however, feel like he felt he was in over his head at Missouri to be honest.

It doesn't matter, the school is in trouble either way, if we kept him 2 more years he would have ran the program so far into the ground we would never recover.

I do not think Haith was over his head at Mizzou. I think we will be worse off in 2 years for losing Haith. I understand no one shares my opinion.
