I certainly don't hate Michael Sam. I wish the kid the best and hope he makes it in the NFL. That being said, Michael brought a lot of this on himself. I'm sure some of you will take exception to that, but he allowed ESPN to cover him if he got drafted. We all know what happened with his celebration, if he wants to be viewed as just another football player, he should of curtailed the display some.

There is still a big segment of the population that doesn't agree with his lifestyle. It doesn't make them all bigots, that's ridiculous and wish the term wouldn't be tossed around so carelessly. I don't care what adults do (gay or straight) in private, just don't shove it in my face.

I'm sure some here won't like what I have to say, so be it, I could care less. I know my life story, and was tolerant towards gays before it was cool, and probably before some of you were born. Michael just needs to concentrate on football now, he has an uphill battle being drafted as late as he was. I just hope he makes the team because he earned it.

tend to agree that if he is sincere about wanting to be viewed only as another NFL player he took a wrong turn at the bakery, the fact that he has a "publicist" outside of a standard player rep agent, tells you where the problem lies.
