How is it an offseason if the Royals/Cardinals are winning?

Also Spring game in 23 days

Your offensive stats are cute.

They are what they are. I tried to find stats that gave the Royals an advantage but couldn't find them.

The Royals staff was first in ERA last year in the American League (3.45)

I would love an honest opinion of where Shields would fit into the Cardinals rotation. I would also like to know if you had your choice of Shields or the Cards set up man, which would you take? One would think an ace for one staff versus a 8th inning man from another staff would be an easy answer. Not so sure.

The Royals defense is the best in baseball. Salvador Perez, Eric Hosmer and Alex Gordon were Gold Glove winners. Alcides Escobar and Lorenzo Cain were Gold Glove finalists.

I don't disagree with this other than if you're suggesting Perez is in the same category with Molina. He's good. He's young. I like him a lot but he's no Molina.

We only got better with our offseason moves my friend...

This I also don't disagree with. It's just not going to be good enough to land more wins than the Cards.

Nikki...I'll take my chances with Rosenthal and crew. I like Holland, but considering the fact that Rosenthal wasn't even a closer until the end of the season, I'll take my chances with him knowing his role going into the season.

So the best argument you could come up with was that all the guys who sit on bench for the Royals are better than they guys who sit on the bench for the Cardinals. Good luck with that.

You said the Cardinals bullpen was superior to the Royals bullpen. Also you claimed the bench for the Cardinals was far better than the Royals. I simply provided facts that seem to refute your case. Not every player on the Cardinals is better than the Royals, and the same can be said for the Royals. If you are actually comparing Holland to Rosenthal you are delusional. I didn't see Rosenthal representing the NL in the All-Star game.

I'm much the same ST. Never really saw the sense in sig bets, but I don't mind having some fun with our friends across the state.

What happens if there is a tie and both teams have the same record?

Tie Breaker Possibilities

Who wins division?
Who wins more games in the I-70 series?

Is it gonna be like this all summer? Baseball is a damn marathon, getting yourself this fired up before the season starts isn't going to be good for your nerves.

It's almost like you've never been in this position before.

The Royals haven't been good until last season for a while

I'm just ready for the season to start, nothing going on @ Mizzou right now as far as sports, and opening day is officially ~96 hours away

The winning side or the cards?

ETA: I assumed cards. Will gladly change if I'm wrong.

The numbers are there for the Royals fans should this bet go the way we anticipate. We will have approximately 20 posters sporting some sig pics which will ruffle some "feathers"

Let the record show that the Texan Embassy nominally supports both the Kansas City Royals and St. Louis Cardinals baseball clubs.

Let the record also show that due to proximity and in the spirit of good sportsmanship, for the purposes of this thread and head to head matchups, the Texan Embassy will cloak itself in KC Blue.

Be Royal, y'all
