Hilton won't be starting over Perkins at FS. That said, a move to Cover 3 better suits Hilton's skill set IMO.

A couple of influences from last season are gone. I think Sherrills bounces back to his 2015 form.

It's called realistic expectations. Who on that defense outside of Frazier and Beckner give you ANY confidence? Our secondary was total trash last year and we LOST Penton.

Beisel and Perkins will be solid patrolling the middle of the field.

I like Terez Hall and Prewett as well.

You still have massive holes all over the defense, not to mention the tackling has to improve 100x's to even be serviceable.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think most fans need to come to terms with the very good possibility that we're going to be playing Big 12 ball this year.

Sherills, Hilton Prewitt and Perkins IMO should make a VERY solid back line. Corners worry me. LB corps should improve. I think Burkett/Lee/Hall should all make big jumps. Also have Beisel to thump a bit and be a leader. D Line has a lot of pieces and could be very solid as well. Cornerback is the spot that concerns me most, although last year's CB's were terrible so hoping they can't be much worse.

Hall, Beisel, Holmes,

Yes our secondary sucked last year..... So it won't be too hard to see improvement this year. SO here's hoping.

I really like our D line. I think they will be very good. Our linebackers will be better than last year, and I think Prewett will help on the run and pass. Our corners are suspect, but talented. Our safeties are our weak spot in my opinion. I thought they weren't good last year, and they need to step up big time this year for our defense to improve.

I agree. Not elite, but solid and experienced.

They should be, they were below middle of the pack last year.

Definitely the biggest questions. Outside of Penton we were bottom tier of the SEC bad here last year.

Lot's of questions need to be answered on D for us to have even a middle of the road SEC defense. But that's what happens when you play in the SEC.

Or offense looks quite promising, but if you are wanting to compete for the division only having a good O probably only works in the B12.
