When Sterk gets to that point, and I don't think he is there yet, he will have a good idea of where he can go before the job is even open.

I think A&M finishes 9-4 or 8-5. Not enough to get him fired. Really depends on who they lose to.

Maybe you missed the Facebook post by a member of the A&M board of regents calling for Sumlin to get fired after the UCLA game.

Charlie Strong, 2.5 million buyout. Plus it would probably take around 3.5 salary I'd guess.

What about some of the coaches that will be unemployed that work in the SEC right now? Say what you want about Butch Jones but he has won every where he has been. Only 2 losing seasons in 10 years where he went to 3 programs that were down and brought them up.

Rocky Top fans have a much higher expectation of winning than we do. He averages 8 wins a year and 6-2 in bowl games.

Gus Malzhan has never had a losing season. 2-3 in bowl games but lost in the National Championship game, Sugar Bowl, and Outback bowl. NC game and the Outback bowl he lost by 3 points in each game.

Why not one of those two if they get pink slips?

Jones has consistently underperformed recruiting rankings. Same as Sumlin. Malzhan might be ok.
Ideally Mizzou finds a coach that fits the culture here and has exceeded expectations before. That's why coaches like Wilson have fans interested. He's already been more successful at UTSA than any previous coach.

Yea if Butch can't win at UT with 4 and 5 star recruits, he's not going to do shite here.

I like Clawson, just the wrong time to hire him, he'll end up somewhere big.

Clawson/Wilson. I like them both.

Wilson for recruiting.

Clawson for ability to rebuild and win and his experience.

I'm sure as the end of the season draws closer, we'll see our potential list of coaches change multiple times.

I know he looks crazy on the sideline sometimes, but I think Bo Pelini is a good coach. Nebraska isn't the same job it was, all his recruiting classes were 4 and 3 stars. He's won big at Youngstown State. Hot take.

Do you have any proof of that at all? I can't and don't believe that to be true. I think it's more like wishful thinking on this board! Because, if he was actually doing that even on the down low, that would be bush league at best by our AD! And I don't truly think he's Bush!

Read closer. You seem to be assuming something. Sterk has to know if there is any interest out there as part of the decision process. That isn't shopping around.

I think that playing a rapist thing will probably keep Bo Pelini out of a big job for at least another year or two.

I hear that Brock Olivo has MU in his top 11. So I guess we have a shot at landing another up and coming true son to lead our program. I am all for it because that has been a utter failure approach 2 straight times and what are the odds it could happen a third?

I've never understood the mentality of someone who gets so much joy out of their program they supposedly root for losing.

You're down right giddy today.
