Spurrier admits he'll likely never be a HC, but he stresses he "resigned, not retired"...and is keeping the door open to options.
Jerry Kill is distraught after resigning at MN. He said he "doesn't know what he'll do." Maybe something less stressful than HC would appeal to him.
MN's OC and OL coach, Limegrover may be worth a look. With Kill gone, his future is in doubt.
And Killz is certainly an option, as well.

So Jagd Tiger is not an option?

I don't like the offense that MN runs. Any guys with NFL backgrounds out there?

Major Applewhite (if he doesn't get the Houston job of course)

This is all speculation on my part, but I am not sure Pinkel has the same loyalty to Henson that he did to guys like Steck, Christiansen or Yost. I think Yost left because he didn't want to be an albatross to Pinkel. I don't think Pinkel will be able to avoid letting Henson or at least Ricker go if we don't improve on offense over the last 4 games. There's bad offense and then there's last in the FBS offense.

Nonsense. Pinkel has no pressure to do anything other than what he thinks is best for the team. My guess is they chalk this horrible offense up to youth, rb injury, and a bad mix on oline and continue on next year with Henson and Ricker.

Will be a mistake IMO. But I could see it happening. Pinkel faced plenty of pressure in 2012 after we finished with a 2-6 record in conference. We could easily finish with a similar record this year.
ETA: if we make a bowl, there will be very limited pressure if any on Pinkel. If we don't, I expect some pressure.

I was coming here to pose this question. I don't ever see this happening, plus no opening yet, but I can still dream.

I agree with 808 - it would be a big mistake not to make some changes given how abysmal our offense is right now. Personally, I'd cut loose Ricker and Washington, move Andy Hill back to WR, hire a good QB coach, make Henson responsible for OL, and name Henson and Hill co-OCs. Assuming we keep Henson.
ETA - Oh, and the new QB coach MUST have SEC recruiting ties. That is non-negotiable.

I love Jerry Kill and it won't be long before he's a head coach somewhere else.

I guaran-damn-tee you that I'd call better plays than what we've seen this season.

Of this I have no doubt.

I'd pull out a menagerie of insane trick plays every play...I MEAN EVERY PLAY...and I go for it on 4th down every time regardless of our position on the field.
If we were destined to lose, we'd do it in an extremely exciting fashion.
Wouldn't be worse than losing three straight games with no toughdowns scored. At least it would be entertaining.

I'd pay to watch your team, Killz. And I'd suggest that for the pre-game coin toss, the captains bound out on pogo sticks.

He doesn't THIS year.
A repeat of this in 2016 and the calls will be for Pinkel's head, not Henson or Ricker.

Killz = Springfield
Mr. Mauk = Springfield
Hmmmmmmm
So who would you start at QB next week?

Hire the OC from Memphis or Bowling Green.

There's a pretty good chance that both of those HCs move to a Power 5 school. So the OCs there have good shots at either getting the HC job or moving with the HC.

It would be quite a quandary for him, having to coach, then come here and call his supporters "fanboys".
