PG
Phillips
Jimmy JJ Bad the Kid Dynomite Walker Barton

This is troubling. Phillips is very promising. Barton isn't and there's no one else there. I, along with anyone who's watched 5 minutes of Mizzou basketball this year, expect Isabel to be gone.

SG
Walton (hopefully)
CVL
Namon Wright

Best position by group on the team

SF
Barnett
Jackson
Corprew

Both of these probably see time at the 3, but are probably more undersized 4s. If we land Corprew, Barnett may see more time closer to the hoop.

PF
Puryear
Mitchell Smith

I expect Gant to transfer. Mitchell will put the "power" in PF.

C
Reed
Woods (he's obviously not a C, but that's where he plays)

If you thought we were bad with Rosburg...
Dembele is still being pursued? I have no idea where we stand with him.

Was that sarcasm about Smith? Isn't he the kid that is like a buck fifty soaking wet?

And that roster would attract who as a coach?

Appreciate the kids trying to make Mizzou better just as I appreciated Rosburg but the reality is that the cupboard is bare.

Corprew is more of a combo guard. Probably able to play some point when Phillips is out of the game.

I think Gant stays.

I like the roster if Mizzou lands both Dembele and Corprew. It's more about the following year, than next year.

Isabell isn't gone yet I don't think. We thought the same thing about him last year too.

That's a roster good for about 12 wins. Which is why I don't think we can keep KA knowing he won't be any better next year and has no shot at all at landing Porter or any other 4*+ kids.

If Gant stays and we pick up both Dembele and Corprew, I think we would only have one schollie for next year - Wood's after he "graduates."

Why do you "expect Gant to leave"?

There's always at least 1 transfer. I can't think of a year without 1. More important would be that the 2017 season wouldn't have to rely of incoming freshmen.

Because it's in his best interests to do so. Kim doesn't like him. He would be better served going somewhere where he can see the floor. I'm sure his people are telling him the same thing.

Why do you think KA doesn't like Gant?

Seemed more that he was passed by Puryear. There's a ton of frontcourt playing time available next year.

Also if he leaves Mizzou will face APR sanctions. He's one of the guys Mizzou has to have stay because of that.

Woods played more than 1 minute.

There was a ton of frontcourt playing time available this year. Gant, despite being our most athletic frontcourt player, was almost the last option.

Here's a roster that I think could save KAs job next year. Includes some recruiting targets that Mizzou has a shot with. TI & Wright are the guys I most expect to transfer.

PG- Phillips & Bowman
SG - Corprew, Walton, CVL
SF - Barnett, Jackson, CVL
PF - Puryear, Gant, Smith
C - Dembele, Smith, Nikko

The only thing that will save his job is that he(KA) studies all his players strengths and weakness and form his schemes to that. They need to run and press more because of their lack of size and gurth. Example: Watch film of Frank Haith's first year as coach at Mizzou.

I don't think they were athletic enough to really be a running team.

Talent, length, and athleticism are still the teams primary issues. Though if Mizzou lands those 3 guys this spring, I think you could have a team built to run.

I think we have decent length. you could set a lineup, and I wish we would use this more, where your 2-5 is at least 6'5 and above.

Talent, and still non of that.

He was dealing with a shoulder injury all year. Had surgery on it Sunday or Monday I believe.
