I'm cherry picking from his bio, but this looks promising:

...as the defensive coordinator for South Alabama after a year in which he was named as a Broyles Award Nominee in 2021 after the the team allowed the fewest rushing and total offense yards since the program moved up to the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision level in 2012.

I'm still digesting.

At times like these, I need to remind myself that we are not a blue blood, nor do we make blue blood hires.

This appears to be a well thought out hire of someone off the radar. Much like the OC hire.

I like it. But we shall see.

Better resume than Baker had coming to Mizzou. On the surface it seems like a respectable hire

I'm going with cautiously optimistic too. Drink seems like he knows what he is doing when it comes to staff. That's a much needed skill in his world.

If it is Drink's guy, fine. His culture seems to be working.

The prime recruiter now is NIL anyway, so if this guy is good at x's and o's and utilizes our advantages, great.

South Alabama had 2 Junior CB’s that were all conference last year. 1 was 2nd team and the other 3rd team.

Maybe they will come with him. With Toriano that would add a lot of experience to the secondary.
