Bass.

Hearing anything about Drink interviewing someone in Tampa recently?

The name Lance Guidry was thrown out.

Also, just hell no to Grinch.

That's pretty much it. It was a short conversation... I asked if this was a name that was just being thrown out, and was told there has been definite contact.

I was hoping maybe you could confirm or deny.

He would be a far better choice than durkin or grinch.

Most coordinators haven’t.

If you’re good, you move up.
If you’re not, you move down.

Auburn might not get Durkin after all because he is still with Texas A&M as a consultant. Auburn doesn't want to pay his buyout. One Auburn fan is saying it is either Chris Kiffin or DJ Durkin. Check the SEC rant I posted about Auburn DC just now. The link is right here.

The movement is normal. I like that he has put in about 25 years.
Didn't seem to make it to a big program until last year. Anyone know how he did?
I'm fine with something like this if Drink knows him and feels he fits in with the system/culture.

Could be meeting with Addison Williams from UCF.

quote:

UCF in 2021 ranked seventh nationally in pass efficiency defense (an improvement of 97 spots in NCAA statistical rankings), as the Knights closed the year with six victories in their final seven assignments to finish 9-4. UCF’s cornerbacks played critical roles as the Knights improved 86 slots in the passing yards allowed category, moving to 35th in 2021 (210.1 yards per game, 89.1 fewer than 2020). A pair of Williams’ corners received 2021 postseason honors—as sophomores Brown and Thornton both were named third-team All-AAC by PFF. Williams also played a major role enabling talented true freshman Adams to start six late-season games for the Knights.

Info about him from UCF

The Grinch who stole money? That isn't what Drinkwitz wants. Good to see him go elsewhere. No more retreads please. Most of them are not worth it.
Here is the link for the coaching changes board. USC fans have said this about Grinch. It is a sure sign that Drinkwitz knew what he is doing to avoid hiring him.

Sources: Missouri is set to hire South Alabama defensive coordinator Corey Batoon as the school’s new defensive coordinator. He’s a veteran coach with experience at Liberty, Hawaii, FAU and five seasons in various roles at Ole Miss.
