According to Scout we are tied for 85th place with four other schools:
Bowling Green
Florida International
Louisiana Tech
Northern Illinois

I know that it's early and by the time it's all said and done we will move up big time, but am I the only one that still thinks this is a LITTLE concerning

The two players that have given us verbals average two and a half stars.

Here's the whole ranking:

The 2 JUCO kids from ESTL have also committed. They were a 3 & 4 star out of high school.

Now, not worried at all.

We'll end up about where we always do. Maybe even a little lower because there isn't any highly ranked in state kids.

We'll find and develop our guys though. Just like we always do.

I don't think that they are counting the 2 ESL kids that committed in the 2015 class that took the JUCO route.

I think he if they do well on the field they'll have an awesome class. It's just super early.

I don't guess I am concerned but I am disappointed.

I know we aren't going to recruit like Florida, Georgia, Bama etc.... but we should be recruiting better than we are with our current success.

Not a fan of Scout first off. Second, it only lists us with 2 recruits. If we had 6 guys with the same exact ratings, we'd be right back in familiar territory. If they included Taylor and Strong, we'd be right back in familiar territory.

Rivals have the Tigers ranked number 47, because they added the two 2015 recruits from ESL.

247 sports have them ranked number 86 without adding the two ESL 2015 recruits.

I'm a little frustrated but not worried at all. You would think the success would have players looking at us and not the other way around, but regardless we'll compete.

Takes longer to recruit big guys from outta state. They are working their asses off flying all over the country. I imagine they will only get 15-20 this year but after last years recruiting class, they have Carte Blanche in my view.

By my count (if Echard is on scholly) we have 16 seniors. We have 4 or 5 juniors that could potentially leave early, of which really only 1 is likely. Sot that's 17 scholarships available. Assuming they go over that number counting on some transfers and/or guys not being eligible, I'd imagine that we're still talking about a class in the low 20's as far as numbers go. That's fairly small. So there's no rush.

There are also no Lock/Ofodile/Hentges types in state that you'd absolutely love to see commit early. There are several guys in state I'd like to see Mizzou get but not one that I'd get upset about if we didn't land them like I did Hentges/Ofodile.

So once we're looking out of state, particularly among the more highly recruited guys, it's just going to take time before they commit, especially before they pull the trigger on a school like Mizzou.

We're panicking over the 2016 recruiting class already? Damn I can't wait until the season starts and "Maty for Heisman" or "Maty Sucks" threads.
