That was a great match to watch. J'den is quick as hell.

Ok, I turned it on for the wrong match. Completely unimpressed. Just no action in that match. I'm sure he was dog tired or whatever.

J'den just got knocked out of the gold medal match by a Turk.

Hopefully he can get the bronze.

It has to suck missing out on wrestling for gold simply because you were inactive. Frickin' Turk scored only one point and that was on a stalling call.

I'm not able to watch. A friend said the Turk stepped out. Then J'den lost. Twitter isn't much help. Can anyone clarify?

The international game is reffed so inconsistently. J'den got put on the shot clock (30 secs to score or your opponent gets a point). Basically stalling. Didn't score, so his opponent led 1-0. Then he did get a point on a pushout 1-1. Unfortunately, Criteria had his opponent still winnning, which J'den didn't seem to know. Usually, criteria is last point scored wins. But since there was a shot clock violation, his opponent had the criteria.

Of course they challenged the missed pushout at the end, which led to another point for the failed challenge. Final 2-1.

Tough way to lose, but hopefully he can bounce back for bronze. Just needs to win one in the repachange.

When I kept reading how "physically" he was tearing it up in international competition, I wondered if it would be a "little thing" that would trip him up, because of lack of international experience. It SUCKS, but at that level the little details count big. I do wish their was a way to wrestle back into gold medal contention.

No, not because of the failed challenge. When time ran out, the score was 1-1 with Cox already losing due to having more stalling warnings (the tiebreaker) than the Turk. US challenged because they had nothing to lose. Cox already lost and if the challenge fails he just still loses but 2-1 instead of 1-1 on a tie breaker. Had they won the challenge he would have gotten a point and won. The challenge was a hail mary that happened after time ran.

Basically, from what I saw, and being a very amateur fan, it looked like Cox came out to not lose instead of to win. He did seem more passive and moved less than he usually does. He picked it up in the 2nd period but it was too late.

Cuban being a whinny bitch! Classless piece of shite won't return to the mat to finish.

ETA: Congrats to Cox. He's not going home empty handed.

That's awesome for him. I bet he wins a gold before he's done. He'll be back in 4 years with a better understanding.
