If it enrages us when Mauk makes those gun slinger mistakes it has to enrage the coaches. He is two of those mistakes away in a big game from getting replaced.

Mauk does stupid shite. Just his thing.
However, without his legs we do not win this game.
Our offense is atrocious. We simply can not run the football when we have to.

I don't think Lock runs as well as Mauk but that also means he won't run backwards 15 yards like Mauk does. Seriously though, I think Lock knows how to step UP in a pocket better.

Don't know but don't disagree either. Probably is right.
As far as Mauk, I don't know that anyone can change it. He's refused to take coaching/training. He just is what he is at this point and we'll win more than we lose but none of them will be pretty.

Look at the first game and this one.....major difference. With the exception of 1 pass (I think) everything was short to mid yardage.

you mean 8 or 9 plays, he threw down field well except for a few horrid down field throws, he ran well except for the several times he ran backwards and barely escaped without a grounding flag, the rest of his game when he isn't handing off is mostly garbage.
he's NOT the only problem of course, he still can't read the D, see over the middle and our staff seems to have no clue how to get the play in w/out running out the play clock.
