Gonna get a big test right out of the gates.

Great test and good experience to draw from win or lose. One of those games that helps you either way.

I agree with that. Trying to piece together what we know of the noncon schedule. Any other games we know of?

11/14 UMKC (COMO)
11/24 Arizona (Maui)
11/25 Purdue/KSU (Maui)
12/05 @OU
12/13 Xavier (COMO)
12/20 Illinois (STL)
12/30 Okie State (KC)

There will be at least one more game in the Maui tournament and 18 conference games. That takes us to 26 games we know of. Any idea on the other 5 or so?

That's also an impressive 6 games in a one month time frame. These kids are going to get a lot of good experience sooner rather than later. Hopefully it also pays off to some extent by the time that conference play rolls around.

Is it normal to not know the schedule in August? I've been searching for one and can't find one.

What seems odd to me is that I think they're already selling tickets but you don't even know what you're buying. Having said that, I think some, but not all, other schools are just now releasing their noncon schedules here in the last week or so.

ETA - I did go to the Xavier and Illinois websites to get the date. So some schools certainly have their schedules out.

I will be ecstatic if we made the tourney in year one under KA but I'm certainly not putting those kind of expectations on him.

I am. One downside to success is it raises the bar for following years. And he's had a VERY successful year so far. Had he recruited like we expected him to, then I wouldn't expect a tourney. Last year's team had production from only 3 of the 5 positions, no offensive gameplan, no attempt at defense, poor coaching, and a weak RPI, yet still was on the bubble. We always expected Anderson's coaching to improve our offensive and defensive gameplan. The RPI is improving. And he's brought in talent that should score.

I don't expect to be a Top 25 team. Our youth will show itself this year. But I don't expect it to prevent us from being in the top 45 teams to get a tourney invite.
