This is the good kind of transfer.

Somebody else has the job lock(ed) down.

I knew this was coming. I use to watch him on the sidelines and because he's such an outgoing kid he never smiled anymore and seemed quiet as a church mouse.

Be interesting to see where he transfers too.

Unless he is on schedule to graduate early he would have to sit out a year, then only have a year to play. If he goes to another FBS school.

If he drops down to a FCS school he could play right away. With 2 years to play.

QBs transfer when they don't get a chance to play. They pretty much abandoned his designed packages as the year went on.

Hope Wilson used his RS year well

Hope estes gets this news while he's in champaign with thomas. Could be great news for him possibly starting in 2 years or sooner if drew goes after next year in the draft.

I'd be shocked if Estes is ever a full time starter.

I think he'd be a monster if he dropped down a division

Agreed. and with Steck and Bud sasser working those connections, I think it would be a win-win for everyone.

I can see Estes either decommitting and going to the Illini or having to change positions. I've heard he's not a great thrower but a hell of an athlete.

That's not what I have heard. He has the arm strength to be a QB. His footwork isn't great, so wasn't super accurate.

Fix his footwork and he can be a P5 QB. At least that's what I have heard.
