I'm on board with KA but not Alden.

Alden is a huge piece of shite.

Either way he needs to be fired.

Kim Anderson wasn't good enough that we decided to hire Frank Haith over him, and now we go back to that well and decide uhm, works now.

How in the frick is that allowable?

Synopsis of any recruiting battle.

KA: "Yeah, come to Mizzou, we're a family."

Competing Coach: "Do you want to go spend your years playing for a D2 coach? You only get one chance at college and winning these games, do you really want to spend it there?"

With that said, obviously you're not mad at KA for wanting the job and want to see him succeed. I just do not see how it's possible off the court.

In, only because I'm an Alum and love the school. Can't say I'm happy about the hire or the direction that we're going, but I'm not going to root against or stop watching my team. Coaches come and go, the Zou remains.

Excited and in. The hire is four years too late, but what's done is done. Win some basketball games and people will forget that you were ever a DII coach. Fuller is the most important recruit at this point imho.

On board due to no other choice.

I think he'll put a lot of effort behind the team, which is good. I hope he hasn't spent so long hoping for the job that he thinks that getting it was the goal. There's a whole process that needs to take place now.

Gotta keep Fuller, or has that been set? Damn work is busy today.

I'm onboard, especially after the press conference. If we can keep Fuller on board I think we have a pretty good team in 2 years.

I'm onboard. If we can't close ranks behind a Mizzou guy, then I don't know what to say.

Kim is simply a great guy and it will be a pleasant change to see some fundamental basketball for a change. This past season was painful to watch and I bet Kim's teams will play with more heart and energy than anything we have seen in Columbia in many years. I'm in.

At this point, it is what it is so yeah, of course I hope he does well. I see positives with KA. I just hope they win out over the negatives. Just because the hire doesn't move the needle for me doesn't mean I don't hope the whole restore the roar campaign works. Hope it does.

Either way, Alden has to go. Either he fricked up this hire or he fricked up not making this hire years ago.

I am not "in". I cannot support a hire where the biggest thing that people are saying will lead to success is keeping the assistants for recruiting. If the success of the head coach is based on keeping certain people, then this was the wrong hire. If those people leave for better jobs, then Mizzou is screwed. Don't hear many talking about Roy Williams, Bill Self, Calipari, et al needing assistants to be successful do ya?
