Yepp. What has become acceptable has dropped to all time lows. Now more excuses. Make the tourney or be gone.

That should be the breakout season.

16 wins is acceptable progress and 20 wins is a breakout. There's no way we're defining success downwards.

Haith - 23 wins. Gone.
Anderson - 19 wins in two seasons - lets see if this cat can get to 16 when he finally learns to book a hotel room.

20+ and the NCAA tournament yes.

Though year 4 has been the year I have been looking toward for over a year now.

20 wins in the SEC doesn't get you into the NCAA tournament.

What makes you so sure his replacement will be any better?

Cause they literally can't be any worse.

Goodbye Porter, have fun at KU. Gave said MR couldn't find anyone to take the job, considering the NCAA sanctions, APR, and piss poor roster. Basketball is a dumpster fire.

Where do idiot Mizzou fans like you come from? I think most of you who say stupid arse shite like this are not really Mizzou fans

Heaven forbid I expect more than piss poor results from the basketball team. Most losses in back to back seasons, yet I'm crazy for expecting more.

If you think Porter is coming then you're off your rocker. Basketball isn't a sport that takes 5+ years to rebuild.

Porter isn't coming here. Being realistic about things like that is something Mizzou fans should be exceptionally good at.

Not directed to you, but I remember after UMKC the company line was "2nd half of the season" is when to see progress. The company line then changed to "Year 2 is reasonable". Then it was year 3 and soon we'll be hearing year 4. And I'm not talking about to make the tourney. I'm talking about for signs of progress.

frick that noise at this point. Post season next year or GTFO.

That's fair goes in line with expectations. I want year 4 to be a tournament team. In one of the other threads I posted a roster that I think would get us there.
Phillips & Bowman at PG
Corprew, Walton, CVL at SG
Barnett, Jackson, & CVL at SF
Puryear, Gant, & Smith at PF
Dembele, Smith, & Nikko at C

If CVL is playing more than 10 mpg it's bad for Mizzou.

True. But that doesn't mean his replacement will be anything more than Haith 2.0.

Haith 2.0 would be light years of improvement.

And that's sad.

Theres a run of NBA coaches who are having trouble getting NBA jobs and taking college jobs. Get David Blatt in a year or some other cast away. If Bama can nab Avery Johnson we can land someone like that. Basketball is a sport where a good coach can take you far. See Witchita (Marshall) and VCU (Shaka). No one ever gets drafted from there but they always make (or made when Shaka was there) the tourney and do fairly well. Byron Scott will be available. Literally anyone but KA. There is a reason even D2 teams did not go after him. Missouri State would not hire him from crying out loud.

Slu pulled a 180 compared to mizzou. Fired Crews not even 4 minutes after we were eliminated from the A10 tourney. I'm not exaggerating about the 4 minutes either
