Violation of NFL substance abuse policy. Big Shel has a pretty thick head.

Actually the American public has pretty dumb heads.

Adults should be able to put whatever they want in their bodies.

What's freedom without freedom of consciousness.

Legalize it! The NFL should at least. 95% of the time no one would ever find out these dudes smoke weed. It would be better for their image. Tim Tebow is probably the only player that doesn't smoke weed anyway. I'm sure that's not true but I bet it's a minority by a lot.

I'm not sure about the NFL's policy, but I know in the NHL you have to have just smoked a ton for it to be over the limit -- at least that's how I understand it.

NFL probably is the same..

I can't imagine it was weed, but who knows.

Weed.

Lol.

I've never heard of a professional athlete killing anyone because they were hitting the bong all night long.

Running over someone while drunk. Check.

Driving into a statehouses steps while drunk. Check.

Hitting something head on and killing said athlete. Check.

But yeah, let's continue to ruin careers for smoking something that grows wild.

Full disclosure, I'm Tank Seven'd right now, because I'll lose my job if I take a hit. I'd much rather be high.

It's really dumb dude.

People will die somewhere tonight because some a-hole can't figure out that the on ramp they are driving on is actually an off ramp, or that the lane they think they are in isn't really a lane.

Innocent fricking people. They die because of this.

Because some a-hole guy got drunk and made a horrible decision to drive when he couldn't even walk.

Meanwhile a stoner is on yelp trying to find the best pizza that's still open.

Arrest the folks that carry bud, let the fools that act out at the bar drive home.

We'll sort out the mess later...

1 gram just cost me close to 2 grand and 2 years probation. First offense.

Went to state level because the officer was on a 'task force' and not operating as part of a specific municipality. (Lake St. Louis cop, was on 94 driving through Defiance).

For those that aren't familiar, that's like $15 dollars worth of weed.

I had no paraphernalia (papers, pipes) on me of any kind, but they counted the plastic bag as paraphernalia, adding to the charges.

I was ruled sober, and was. Hadn't smoked that day. Yet they added something called 'abuse and lose' to my charges, which takes away my license. Luckily the lawyer handled that, but it cost extra money.

Sometimes I feel like the world is inverted. Like how is it possible things are the way they are.

Alcohol is so strongly promoted in society while a potential cure for cancer is the devil. It's crazy.

Get no argument from me. While I think Shel is a dumbass for not following rules (I think McDonald's would fire me if I refused to wear their uniform - they do get to make the rules), I also believe it's a dumb rule.

Sorry to hear about that ST. And yes, you got hit nearly as hard as a DWI. That's BS. If it makes ya feel any better, Sheldon's weed cost him $2,665,000.

Why does someone want to escape from reality? It doesn't matter what you use. Rules be rules. Heck, the real world is tough but pretty awesome if you look for it.

19 years sober and I don't miss it. I finally grew-up and figured it's not worth it.

The owner's manual is right again...be of sober mind.

Should have ate that.

It should be in your trunk if you have to have it in your car.

How did it even get to the point where he searched you or your car? Sounds like maybe a checkpoint?

You need to up your game check out the information from NORML or Dan Viets to learn how to avoid that ever happening again.

Ya, thanks Captain Hindsight.

It wasn't a checkpoint.

Officer walked up to my car, first statement: I pulled you over because you touched the middle line during a turn. No time to respond, his next statement: When was the last time you were around pot? (I have long hair, visible guitar in back seat, I couldn't say never, I replied last weekend). He then asked if he brought a dog would he find anything. Knowing I had such small amount I chose to be honest. I said I have a small amount in the middle console.

The officer obviously broke protocol, but what the hell am I supposed to do? I would have loved to have played the liberty card, but I figured it was such a small amount, just be honest. If he wanted to bring in the dog he would have.

I have since bought a tire inflater thing that doubles as a hidden compartment, with enough room for the my usual carrying.

Just politely tell them next time to give you the ticket and that your lawyer advised you not to answer any questions.
