Good article and breakdown of some potential names.
Sounds like a lot of former players are all supporting Vitello.

Spot on.
If they create a buzz with the hire, with new facilities, with winning and with promoting the program, some (not 10's of thousands, but enough) will come from KC and STL.
I don't know if they had it before, but I did see them promoting the "Tigers On Deck" this last season, trying to draw students. Essentially their version of the Zou Crew I suppose.
Weekday games and even weekends will have to be supported by the students and local community. Weekends, you can get the STL and KC people.
I don't know the NCAA rules regarding it, but I've always said they should hook up with the various club teams with the grade schoolers. Let 2 or 3 kids in free for every adult ticket purchased. Or tie it in with some little league tournaments in the area and donate tickets so that each team that pays to play in the tournament gets 20 free tickets or whatever. Get the kids and the parents will follow.

On that last point, for example, my son's team just played a tournament just outside of Nashville. Granted, no games were being played, but they got a tour of the Vandy facilities.

Just imagine if TJ could have landed Bryan Howard (pitching for TCU against A&M) and Lange (pitching for LSU). Both Missouri kids.

Alex Lange(P) - LSU
Mike Compton(P) - FSU
Luke Matheny(P) - OSU (one brother went to MoState/Red Sox and his other brother was Gatorade Player of the Year for MO but chose Indiana)
Brian Howard(P) - TCU
Colby Fitch(C) - Louisville
Missouri kids playing in the super regionals. Some contributing more than others, but they're there.
