Unfortunately, this article believes there is no end in site to the futility.

After 2012, Josh Henson decided against hiring a QB coach and moved Andy Hill to QBs and brought in Pat Washington. The core 2013 and 2014 groups all developed under Hill. Blocking, route running, and hand technique all eroded while Hill was trying to keep Mauk from snorting everything while pirouetting to the left and launching one into coverage.

I don't think that Moore, Dilosa, Wingo and Blair lack the athletic ability to be productive. Their blocking lacks intensity. Simple things like thumbs in or out due to ball placement results in drive killing drops.

I won't pretend to know the details of techinque that go into the position, but the above is crystal clear.

This receiver group are pussies who fold under duress. Soft mentally and physically.

The blocking was a point of pride for the position group. Wes Kemp and Jimmie Hunt weren't blessed with elite hands but they could lock up a safety and give the RBs some space at the second level. Maclin, Alexander, Jerrell Jackson, L'Damien Washington, TJ Moe, and Jared Perry weren't guys that wiped out defenders but they did their jobs. My personal favorite was Marcus Lucas. Probably the most devastating blocker Hill has coached.
