And some delusional ones also. Take a look at the standings in the poor basketball conference we reside in. Make all the excuses you want, but that falls at the feet of Kim. He had his chance and couldn't even improve on the atrocious season he had last year.
I'm betting that if he wasn't an alum, you would agree he should be let go. The current state of the basketball program is pathetic, and yes Alden shares some blame on it, but it comes a point in time where one has to realize Kim isn't the solution to the problem. Call me fair weather all you want, I call it being realistic.

Y'all cry a lot. I could care less where he went to school. Facts are he inherited a program in terrible shape bc Mike Alden failed to hire a coach. It also doesn't help he has no fan support and didn't from day 1.

KA as an X&O's guy is good. He just hasn't brought in enough players to be competitive. Unless he adds 2 more players that can be the top players on the team next year. It will be more of the same.

My friend, I'm not crying at all, I just view things differently than you. There are far more important things in life than the basketball program, and even the football program. I like Kim, he is a good man, I just don't think he is the right man for the job. If you do, that's fine, my life won't change much whether he proves me wrong and is successful at Mizzou, or I'm proven right. I certainly do not and did not want him to fail. Let him have his third year and see what he can make of it.

Mike Dixion was right. Mizzou has a lot of fair weather fans.
Nothing fair weather about pointing out the sad reality of a once great program.
Again, if you are OK with sub 500 team, with a below average coach. Good for you.
However, don't whine and cry, when everyone else doesn't share your point of view.

You mean from day 1 when he lost to UMKC at home in front of a decent sized crowd?
Posted on 2/14/16 at 12:44 pm to SemperFi
The only ones crying are the fair weather no support crowd here. It's sad but Mike Dixon called it years ago but I was blind to the fact. WOW! You guys went to 2 games and call that support. Idk what's in worse shape the the fan base I've defended for years or the bball program.

I find it amazing that NON coaches who don't know jack shite about coaching.....think Kim Anderson can't coach. The guy won a National Title, he can coach. Doesn't matter what level, coaching is coaching. The only difference from Div 2 to Div 1 is recruiting. His freshman class this year is pretty solid. He has what appears another solid recruiting class coming in next year and he is still recruiting( Meaning he expects a few people to leave). Willie Jackson was a McDonald All-American Nominee and has been great this year. The 2 post players are having solid seasons.
Kim might not be able to coach at the Div 1 level, but that is still an unknown. I don't like his sub patterns. He plays Isabell and Woods way too much....in fact I wouldn't play either one of them unless I had to.

You're truly lost if you honestly think Kim Anderson is still the right man for the job. He's done absolutely nothing in the two years he's been here.He underachieved last year and we were't asking for much. This year, I was expecting some level of improvement but I don't see it. He's failed in ever aspect as a D-1 coach. That's the reality and it's time to face it, friend.

I think he deserves more time. I'm not ignorant to his lack of success but I also give credit where credit is due. He's has done no worse then Frank Haith.

KA hasn't been good, but we should have learned not to rush to judgement. Next year will a have to win year.

He has had his best season wiped out

A lotta people just can't admit this team is better than last years just cause they wanna see KA go.
You're high. It might be better years down the road. It's not any better this year.
KA may be a good coach. He might not be. Who knows. What we do know is he has done an absolutely atrocious job while here so far. In fact, he will go down in the record books kind of bad.

Got a lot of haters on here. Most just want Kim Anderson to fail and get fired. Gotta give credit where credit is due.
I bet you're wrong. I everyone here would have loved to have made the tournament last year and this year. At this point he has failed, not that I wanted him to. At this point he should be fired, but he won't. If he's back next year, I hope he wins 25 games, but he won't.
Why would anyone want him to fail? I think most people wanted him to succeed but now that he's been historically bad, he should be fired. And that's not being a hater. Those are facts. Check the record books. He has the worst winning percentage of any coach going back to the early 1900's. He owns the worst losing streak in school history and is top 5-10 with his 2nd longest losing streak.

Mike Dixon is full of shite and a rapist......allegedly.
The fact that people are even still talking about hoops shows they care about the program. But I'm not calling a shite show anything but what it is.
Hopefully he can get it turned around.

It wasn't in terrible shape. It wasn't in good shape but it had seen worse times that never turned into the shite show it is now.
I agree that Alden failed to hire a coach. He hired a CYC coach instead.
KA had plenty of support and would have gotten more, had he done one damn thing to show improvement. Just one damn thing.

No. I want him fired IF he fails. If he succeeds, I'd like him to not get fired.
If that makes me a hater...
