As long as we're ripping the PD, here's what I've got.
How in the frick can these 'professionals' have so many errors in their work?
I get there are deadlines, and these are often done at the ballpark or arena, but how hard would it be to re-read it once? I quick glance and edit shouldn't be that hard.
shite, these guys have time to play on twitter all day. I don't buy the 'time' excuse.
With all of the new competition for information in the internet age, you'd think the standards for the true professionals would be high.
I think it's almost done on purpose, or something not looked down on because it's a sign of the artist in a hurry.
I think the profession is really being exposed as total BS. Bogs, forums ect have made these voices almost irrelevant.
Matter is like drinking a flat soda. He's a no-pulse, company man, mail-it-in, worthless contributor.

I had always assumed papers had "print editors", that would go though stories and fix errors before going to print.
They must have fired them all at the P-D, because you are correct, spelling and grammatical errors abound on their website. I'm not sure what the paper looks like, but some of the articles they post read like a 10th grade blogger wrote them.

Not re-signing Oshie was a bad move
You must not watch Blues hockey. At least not their playoff hockey.
TJ Oshie was the poster child for the invisible playoff Blues.
His passive aggressive shots at a Stanley Cup winning coach Ken Hitchcock were reason enough to run his arse out of town. Good riddance.
