That Justin Smith (retired DL recently of the 49er's not the new wr we recruited ) might join the Tiger staff in some capacity this week.

Anyone heard anything??

No, but i really appreciate the "STL Post Disgrace" momento. Talk about a fall. The PD has some strait garbage journalists there now, which is odd, given our Mizzou J-school.

People on PM have been posting that he took an off the field job this year. No off campus recruiting but he will work with the DL and help in the weight room.

I heard it about 10 years ago on a talk radio show in St. Louis. I almost had to park the car I was laughing so long

So Dave Matter is "garbage"? Why is a KC bitch like yourself reading anything other then Mizzou news on a St Louis newspaper? What are your feelings on your beaker run KC Star?

Every media outlet (print, radio, tv, net) motto is "first one to be wrong"

The Wharton Business School (University of Penn) produces more bankers than any other business school in the country. There ethics department should be audited every week. So should journalism schools. If there is no story do not make one. Wait until FACTS can be found then write or report on the story.

Too many editors and news executives have forgotten that. Only The Onion get's it right lol

He is one writer..who does a decent job. Very good on social media, but his at length articles aren't the greatest, and are pretty sprinkled with bias.

Why do I care/read? I think it is important to read as many sources as possible. I get 6 newspapers a day, including the KC Star and STL PD. As a Missourian, who primarily lives in CoMo, it is important to get both perspectives from each side of the state.

The Star's sports section isn't very exciting, can't say I rely on it too much.

I don't hate everything about STL...just certain pieces...but saying that the PD has fallen in the past 10 years isn't my opinion, it is pretty well known since Michael Pulitzer sold his assets.

frick you man. I'm tired of pussy footing around your passive aggressive act.

You are just one of those "guys" that fits the stereotype of a little brother from across the way. From your views on the SEC move to your bashing of St Louis politics, newspaper, sports fans, cardinals etc.

Its like you are trying to fill out every possible nook and cranny of the stereotype.

You want to play your frick frick STL/KC games, take it to tigerboard.

Just one example of the best STL has to offer. The GM and team continually has success, including great player moves.

Pretty solid team and organization, just need a coach who can get them over the proverbial playoff hump. Not re-signing Oshie was a bad move IMO, but hey, locking up Tarasenko long term was solid.

No, I really don't. You took the opportunity to open that up. I simply said the PD has gone downhill in the past 10 years, which is pretty obvious, and you have taken it as KC vs STL.

Its not just this thread and you know it. I could at least respect you if you would just come out and own that you hate/dislike St Louis in general. The passive aggressive nonsense is so chicken shite. Your act has carried on in the Politics board, soccer board, tRant and here. Im sure you are going to move into a victim play were mean kilo cursed at me and treated me bad but the one thing I can say to that is that at least one of us was honest with how we feel.

Not everything is so black and white you know. Every instance you speak of has been turned into kc vs stl by you. The only thing that has been remotely debatable is my opinion of the St. Louis fanbase in regards to their support for the Cards vs the Rams. The rest has been consensus type things.

I'm not doing "any passive aggressive nonsense." Quit making everything about KC vs STL.

Ask any other long time Mizzou poster here if I ever have had any ill will towards KC or made/make ANYTHNING STL vs KC in four years here.

So its either you that has the agenda or its me according to you and I completely fell out of my norms to just curse at you for no reason. I told you the victim play was coming next...probably because I have seen the movie before.

Matter is ok.

If you're looking for garbage, look no further than Joe Strauss. That guy brings nothing to the table besides bullshite conjecture, innuendo, and trolling.

He's on par with some of the worst scribes in the country.

It'd be cool if he was our D-line coach eventually.

I got banned from the PD for calling out Bernie. He just got mad and said it must be easy to criticize anonymously. He had banned me, but I went on a new account and posted my full name address and phone #. Wasn't acknowledged or unbanned of course.

Joe Strauss and Bernie Miklasz must be the two biggest aholes in sports writing. It's a shame we keep them and guys like Gregorian are let go

Right on, Stir! Burwell was the exact same.

The P-D is a frickin' lib-tard rag. They get my clicks because of Matter. He's not great but I want to hear all views about Mizzou. When they require my $'s, I'll say bye.

It fun to watch Bernie fight for the Lambs. No Lambs and he will lose credibility in media circles and income. And he knows it but won't admit it. He badly needs a new rent-a-team in StL.

Well.. somebody is going to have to replace Kul when he leaves next year.

This might be a bridge hire. I like it.. I think.

Comment -- I think it's a shame that the goal is to always climb the coaching ladder. What's the shame in being the best D-Line coach in the country? I think it's an ego driven, and also culturally driven thing to want to continue to climb.
