Oklahoma Joe's pulled pork is the best.

No doubt about that. Their Bubba sauce goes perfectly with it as well. You really can't go wrong with Oklahoma Joes. Only drawback is they only have burnt ends on Wednesday and Saturday I believe. And I would recommend anybody having KC BBQ for their first time try some good burnt ends. Which reminds me, Smokin Guns in NKC has some mighty fine burnt ends.

Living in Memphis for over 10 years I think Nino from Auburn should also ask if any of these BBQ places have good banana pudding. You have to have good Banana pudding !!!!

Anyone that has not or will not eat at Oklahoma Joe's because of kU ties is a fool, great BBQ could be served by Satan aka Self and I would eat good Que.

I heard they don't want to come to Missouri because it is too cumbersome from an accounting standpoint or something. I don't know if that is true or not, but recently St. Joe was trying to lobby for them to put a restaurant there.

I'm a certifiable foodie but there's just no eating experience that could ever justify me spending a dime in kansas. I realize for you KC folk its unavoidable due to the reality of life in the metro area but as a CoMo native I still have got a valid Norm Stewart streak going of never having spent a dime in that putrid sh**hole of a state and I never intend to.

As an aside though, pretty much everything listed in this thread > this Texas BBQ shite I have to put up with down here. Yes, Franklin BBQ is good. No, its not worth getting up at 8 am and standing in line 4 hours for, are you tsips out of your fricking minds. Texas BBQ = hype, KC = substance.

KC Q is top notch and very inexpensive compared to elsewhere. If the aubies want Q KC is the place to go.

Sadly even Norm said this was more hype than substance. Still a putrid shithole.

As a kansas citian, my personal policy is if I have the option, I will always spend my money in Missouri even if it's a further drive (I live very close to the ks border). However, if I don't have an option (I.e. I can only get something in kansas like okie joes, I'll suck it up and throw on my mizzou gear to go get it)

That's the way to represent. Get a shite ton of friends with black and gold and take the f*ker over. Don't forget to burn it to the ground though.

Ha! That's the exact same thing I do. I always wear Mizzou gear when I go to that shithole of a state.

That is just one of many reasons my car is decked out with Mizzou license plates and my hats are always in my car. while I represent here in Arkansas now I ALWAYS fly my colors in kansas and Nebraska

All the ones mentioned are great choices. Some may disagree with this, but I also like Zarda BBQ.
