Watch this mess up recruiting. Don't get too excited over those early committments yet, this school will screw this up and the program will go in the shitter. Its Mizzou, its always worst case scenario.
Th ONLY thing that will hurt recruiting right now is losing. If Mizzou wins this year recruits will still come simple as that.

If you think "that's how it is," you're sofa king dumb.

I'm cooling down a bit but seriously Mike Alden has to go, he talks all this jazz about running a clean program yet this schools been in the papers about 15 times in 9 months? Hate that guy.
I don't mind being in the paper when it ends like this. It's not Alden's fault DGB is an a-hole.
I say this a lot, but let's not fall into the trap of thinking because Mizzou is dismissing players for fricking up that the players frick up more at Mizzou, it's just that action is taken.
Missouri has a big meth problem, but if you think any of the neighboring states have a fifth of the problem Missouri has just because they bust a fifth of the meth labs Missouri does your logic is probably flawed.
High levels of enforcement of anything doesn't necessarily mean there's higher levels of incidents. If it's an issue that doesn't have a root cause based on location or some other outstanding circumstance, it's more than likely just that the powers that be take action where others don't.

Yeah, I'm not an Alden fan.
But try to imagine keeping hundreds of 18-22 year olds living an unusually magnified and privileged lifestyle out of trouble.

She recanted that part and said that is what DGB told her the coaches had told HIM.

Very prescient observations Mizzeaux

Hello, My name is Mike Alden and I don't know what to do with my hands.
Also, Alden interview on DGB.
ETA: After watching, it's totally got to do with the frequency of the issues. They're making a point. Son of a bitch.

That's too bad. Good thing you had the foresight to see that coming

It is the right thing to do, it sucks, but true. For me, DGB can be summed up in one word, Freakish.
Freakish athletic ability, but freakishly immature and destructive personality. It's time to welcome the Nate Brown era, and hopefully a certain other WR who resides in Columbia.

Amen
And Nate Brown seems to be the opposite kind of guy as DGB.
Seems like the kind of guy that can get the playbook from day one, looks like a great kid.
I honestly feel refreshed over this news, which says a lot, not sure if many of you feel the same way.

I'm totally on board with this. I trust they had more information than us and that they acted appropriately. I like that we don't put football in position #1 and then fill in the rest of the blanks.
With thy watchwords honor, duty, thy high fame shall last.

I hate being negative but it seems like this crap always snow balls. A few nights ago I'm watching spring practice hoping the kid stays out of trouble and boom the next frickin day the nightmare comes true. I'm a long time Tiger, they've kicked me in the nuts too many times, I always have my guard up.

As a Tiger fan I was hoping DGB would survive this. In the end as tough as it was it was the right thing to do.

I don't think it's going to hurt the team that much. It's going to impact DGB much more.
But a year at JUCO might be just the thing for him. Get out of the limelight, get his shite together. He still has an NFL future if he can get it together. Nothing he has done is over the top or unredemable. I wish him the best of luck
