This is a little kooky. If Josey is in the game to the end of the SECCG last year, I'd wager we would have been right there.

Pinkel has two AP top 5 finishes. That's NEVER been done here by any coach. Not even Devine.
Devine basically had a Top 1 finish, and could easily have done more but was stolen away by a program with a name.
Pinkel has managed to compete for division titles when those divisions where not very strong and has only done so a couple of times in a very long tenure. Talking up cumulative wins is a stat that doesn't always mean what you think, you probably know Cy Young has the most wins in MLB, do you know who has the most losses in MLB?

Now here's the question I have, how can an allegedly, top HC like Pinkel NOT have a contingency for his QB going out and simply blowing from the opening kick off? It's not like the signs haven't been there that it could happen.
If "he's our guy" as Pinkel claims, maybe he would want to have an escape plan for him and not leave him hung out to dry like he was last Saturday. It almost seems like Pinkel doesn't want to give Printz a chance to create a QB controversy by putting him in, much like Mauk did last year when he took over for an injured Franklin.

Mirroring the Pinkel meme that it's always about the players playing better and not the coaches coaching better. At what point does being responsible not always lead to pointing the finger at the players?

The team lost. I wasn't blaming the offense. I just think we score a couple more times with Josey on the field and that would've been less time Auburn had the ball.
