Check the numbers of the defensive players.
I see lots of walkons, true freshmen and players that I don't expect to start.

You may be right of course, but lets stop trying to glean anything from 50 secs of highlights from a scrimmage.
Maybe our defense sucks, maybe its improved. Maybe our offense is just phenomenal.
We'll know in a few weeks.
