Yes, I gleaned exactly that from the short clips provided.

Pretty odd to have a great offense and terrible defense with a former defensive coordinator as HC.

After watching every Rams game since I was little up to this day, I'll take it all day long.

It's hard to take anything from it. Just a few short clips.

hence the use of the word 'looked' instead of the word 'is'.

and in those few short clips that's exactly how it looked to me.

and in the other short clips I've seen. Kinda like a penny that keeps coming up heads

How could you come to any sort of conclusion about either squad based on the snippets of video we've seen?

I mean sure, it's safe to assume that the offense will be in lock step after a year together.

But seriously, get a grip. It's camp.

I don't think they looked like anything other than some guys running around on some internet clip video.

There were some tackles and such. That's about it, yet you decide to take the butt plug out of your arse for five minutes and shite post about the defense.

I mean did you see some schemes and shite? What did you take away from that video that the rest of us missed?

You must be some sort of defensive football idiot savant to be able to see 2-3 second clips of action and then break it down into an informed opinion.

shite post about the defense
that's the thing. If I say anything but OMG they looked awesome I'm shite posting. And it happens every time. I ain't playing that, it's boring. Yeah, I only saw a few plays. Yeah it doesn't mean much and it won't mean much until I see a game, but in particular, I saw the corners that looked absolutely soft. Which is what I've been concerned about anyway. And the running backs went through the linebackers like they weren't there. Which they didn't seem to be cause they were out of position. Maybe the RB's are just so amazing they blew the LB's off of them by 5 yards. I hope the D looks awesome when they play Carolina. Seriously. Whatever.

You saw soft corners, I saw a video trying to hype the offense.

You saw RBs going through the LBs and I saw a video trying to hype our RBs.

See how these preseason videos work?

They aren't trying to give you an idea of what the defense looks like, they're trying to show you Mizzou players with the football, doing football stuff.

Watching clips of LBs rotating, and CBs on the hips doesn't do much for ticket sales.

I'm not sure why you got so unhinged on this, but relax. We'll either be awesome, decent, or terrible this year. However, these clips don't tell anyone anything.

maybe you are correct. Obviously, I hope you are. But I thought they were a few clips from scrimmage, not hype videos, and it makes me nervous when I see things in the D that are exactly what I'm concerned about with the D.

That video showed 6 of 160 plays ran in during the scrimmage.

Making a judgment either way based on observation of 3.75% of anything would be most unadvisable. Even combined with the video from earlier in the week which showed a mix of solid plays on both sides of the ball we get a look at 13% of what took place last Saturday.

Which is why I never get hyped about scrimmage videos. You aren't going to get the video where the QB threw a pass right into the center's butt or two of the linemen wound up blocking each other, or one of the defenders tackling another defender.

As always everyone will know what we have once the season gets going.

Just looking at the numbers, most of the plays had backups on the defensive side of the ball.
I doubt Alton plays much this year, he's in 1 of the plays.

scrimmage videos

There are legitimate questions on defense going into the season but those are carefully released clips.

The first play was #2/3s on #2/3s. If Strong hits the second level untouched, he won't be caught. I hope he can earn touches. Won't happen if they don't trust him to control the ball.

#2 Hilton made a nice open field tackle on Rountree, who might have been better served following Durant around the edge making Hilton take an angle at the boundary.

#3 Lock threw a dime to Floyd who flew past Hilton.

#4 Prewett minimized the gain on a solid throw by Lock.

#5 Lock made two good adjustments in the pocket and delivered a great ball to Floyd who had a true Fr covering him.

#6 #2/3s on #2/3s. Dline blew that play up.

4 Plays of the #1s. two open field tackles and two good throws. Anyone that can draw definitive conclusions off that has a better FB eye than I do.

Defense looked just as shitty in the 2nd video except for a few meaningless big pops.

Prepare yourselves for shootouts, it's going to be a long season for the defense.
