Word. Look at Petrino and Louisville. Its close to not being worth the entertainment value anymore, IMO.

Rumor is Alden is signing off on this "waiver".

I don't mind that they kicked him off the team, but to then turn around and sign off on the waiver to play this season tells me he probably shouldn't have been booted in the first place. Especially if the waiver goes through with no questions asked.

This whole deal smells like shite to me. Alden really is a giant fricking pussy, not that we didn't suspect this already.

Seriously. They kick him off and then sign a waiver? WTF does that even mean?

Your punishment is to go to Oklahoma. There that will teach you not to assault women.

Although I would consider having to go to Oklahoma a punishment

Why in the hell would Alden sign off on this?!? We kicked him off for good reason, after multiple chances to straighten up! Something is shady here...

Where did you hear the "rumor"? From whom?

Oklahoma believes it has the resources to help Green-Beckham. There was "due diligence" communication between Oklahoma and Missouri coaching staffs before Oklahoma -- including the athletic director and president's office -- approved the transfer.

ETA: just realized I might be reading that wrong. The wording threw me off a bit.

Oh, ok. I have been reading PM since this afternoon and hadnt heard this so I was curious.

I would be surprised if Alden "helped" him get a waiver.

One of the stipulations of the waiver is that the team that kicked the player off signs off on it.

I have a feeling this was part of OU's "due diligence".
I don't think they would bother if they knew MU wouldn't sign off.

I havent read this today either. A lot of emotions flying around over this right now.

Hopefully things become more clear down the road.

I really hope Dorial gets his life straight. But bigger picture is just sad. Talented athletes don't have to follow the rules.

Not just athletes, anyone with money or power. The rules don't apply to them.

Shove a woman down the stair
Oklahoma doesn’t care
Long as you are tall and fast
All your sins are in the past

Fill your pockets full of weed
We don’t mind if you have speed
All we care about are wins
Come to OU free from sins

If you help us win a game
We can live with any shame
To get you in we’ll jump through hoops
Says the coach whose name is Stoops
