Yea don't see why you would suspend over "rumors" if they aren't pretty well substantiated, but then again, Dixon was sent packing after being cleared of rape allegations.
Sometimes over reaction is a way of saying "we are taking this seriously", hopefully the facts will reveal it wasn't that serious, when they are finally known.

I'm tired of hearing this Dixon was cleared crap. The guy was bad news. If you had a daughter at Mizzou you wouldn't want her anywhere around Dixon.

What exactly are the rumors? One report says there was no arrest, so what exactly are we to assume he did wrong?

Nothing so far. I'm guessing if there wasn't anything going on he wouldn't be suspended, though. If he is suspended only for rumors, the powers that be may be taking the clean program thing a little too far.

No arrests. From the rumors, I'm guessing DGB was involved in an altercation and was somewhere that he wasn't welcomed. Very unclear if he ever actually laid hands on anyone (gf???) but there is probably little doubt he was in the wrong, so there's enough to suspend him while the legal stuff sorts itself out. I suspect if it's determined he actually did lay hands on a woman, then he's gone.

In other words, he isn't going anywhere. If there's no arrest, then there's no testimony or police report, everything is hearsay and rumor, and he'll be playing on day 1.

DGB was suspended for violating team rules. He was barred from everything except the academic resource center.

DGB will play in the fall and it will be his last year. The draft calls to the lad.
We can only hope the kid has good advisors and learns quickly. Because, if he doesn't, the world is going to chew him up and spit him out.
